I signed up for helping in disaster response as a volunteer. It will be a slow process but some day I would like to help out more since Climate change is real and raising lots of destruction and chaos all over the place.
I can’t procrastinate with my food shopping today with the possibility of a hurricane coming towards FL. Hoping for another day of being productive.
Enjoy this Sunday everyone.
Compassion. I do my best to have a friendly conversation with whomever I interact with. Friendliness, gratefulness, awareness, humor and listening to others seems to be infectious with strangers. Of course, there are the few that are just not having it. One never knows what others are going through or dealing with. Hopefully a little friendliness may become a seed and they will look back at the encounter and smile.
The only thing “calling” me at this moment is to pause and mourn the senseless loss of life of those who died in Jacksonville, Florida, from yet another racially motivated mass shooting. Dear Lord, stay near to those who grieve the loss of family, friends, and loved ones.
I received a text last night at 9:39 from my daughter informing me someone got shot near her work (Philly), that she heard the gunshots and then the cop sirens. So frightening. Makes one wonder if there were no guns…
I feel it is creative expression by recycling and conservation of wooden furniture and recycled timbers. I can help those in need, reduce waste and landfill, preserve beautiful furniture and old timbers and be creatively expressed.
Frugality. Frugality is both a means and an end in itself. I don’t want to spend mindlessly anymore like I have done all year, but instead getting laser focused on my priorities: saving for emergencies, first of all, saving for life-changing journeys, saving for repaying my student debt, small gifts to the people i love, giving to charity, healthy food, books..

Do my best to be present in all situations.
Staying kind and alert to me seems to be the best possible reply right now. Wishing all a beautiful Sunday.
Just begin… and then begin again.
Like the answer to so many of life’s riddles, “just do it.”
My purpose today is to honor the Sabbath with inner quite.

I heard that! Stay safe!!
Thank you Robin.
Of necessity, a day full of social interactions spreads out before me. I can use my gift of active listening as I move through this celebration.

And so good to know that your daughter is safe and sound, Michele. Hope too, that you will remain safe if the hurricane hits your part of Florida.
Thank you Kevin.

I have songs to share with the elderly. My purpose is to give them a good time.
