Sifting through crisis
we parse flecks of gold from pebbles in silt,
mirrors of True Self marking the way to

becoming whole and connected beings.
Surprised, we discover wholeness and connectedness
already woven within the present moment.

Sifting through crisis
we unearth sighs of healing after grief,
inklings of renewal after dormancy

having named our losses in the dark night.
How is it this replete emptiness radiates
such companionability, such presence?

Sifting through crisis
our hearts open to gratefulness for this opportunity
that renews itself moment to moment in process—

an invitation to become
while discovering the fullness of who
we already are.
