Gratefulness
Welcome to day five of Wake Up to Perspective, our seven-day practice that explores cultivating perspective as a way to live gratefully through this deeply uncertain time. This practice emerges from Kristi Nelson’s forthcoming book Wake Up Grateful: The Transformative Practice of Taking Nothing for Granted.
“When we align with our principles, we align with the energy of our spiritual core. Possibility opens up — and we do, too.” ~ Kristi Nelson, Wake Up Grateful
As we approach the close of the year 2020, the state of uncertainty is global. Along with unresolved political and social unrest, we simply don’t know how the pandemic will play out. This is a shared unknown, leaving many of us wondering how to move forward, what to do, how to make decisions. We may hold similar questions with regard to the escalating climate crisis and the ongoing social unrest that exists in many places around the world. The practice of remembering and aligning with one’s principles offers a place to begin, a compass that can clarify direction and build our capacity to act from inner wisdom.

I believe in One Loving God with many names. I believe that being honest with myself and others is necessary to coexist. I believe that our Planet is crying out in angst. I believe that prayer and meditation are essential to our well being. I believe writing, walking, prayer and meditation are important to my being every day.
Thank you for sharing! I am grateful for everyone that posts a comment because it gives ideas and helps me centered. I am new to meditation, even though I have read many books and article about it. These past six years have taken the most energy from me, as I give to others I have neglected my self and my mental health and anxiety have taken over. Thank you for the inspiration. Blessings to you!
I believe: There is a timeless, loving, conscious, wise Orchestrator of All Things There is a limitless and all powerful Spirit within all of us as a gift from the Orchestrator of All Things All life is precious; Human life is sacred We were gifted the Organic World and we create the Synthetic World As a statistical probability, our individual existence is a miracle worthy of gratitude every conscious moment Think and live accordingly…

I believe in do overs. I just found out that I missed the earlier emails that have been sent out and so I am going through them now as I had looked forward to these practices. I believe that it is never too late to do our best. I believe in love. And it’s amazing power. I believe that when people see clearly they behave impeccably for the good of all. I believe in trust. Trust of one’s Self, others and life. I believe in beauty and it’s ability to inspire and awaken our hearts and help us to remember what is true.
Just some of My Guiding Principles:
– bring peace and be peace – be kind – be still, listen, and be present – accept what is and leave resistance behind – be grateful – be open and adventurous – live in the moment
I believe Divine Love is the animating force of all life. All humanity, all creation emanates from this Divine Love. Every living being has as its core the divine spark. Our earthen lives are meant to engage awareness of Divine love in all its traits: compassion, mercy, dignity, forgiveness, joy, beauty…and in action grow our souls and the soul of the world. We shall all return to the full embodiment of Divine Love.
God knows what I can not know, He is pure love and greater than me. Being honest, humble, patient, meek.
I believe I must keep the heart open and nimble and soft and laughing and humble….a kind of “create in me a clean heart”
Faith in God and faith in Life Humility Compassion for myself and for my fellow people Respect and solidarity
To do whatever I can and in the best way I am able to, to be of service for my fellow people. To be grateful, knowing that I am struggling with it. To help increase awareness in order to reduce suffering. To be there in loving kindness, compassion and honesty.
Honesty, compassion, understanding, joy and LOVE My goal is to infuse all of them into my life and into the life’s of others. Event though, I fail sometimes…. I need to pick myself up and try the best I can… I asked my loving Father for help
Cinco aspectos fundamentales que deseo desarrollar desde el SER, son la gratitud, el entusiasmo, la sabiduria, el servicio y la aceptación del momento presente.
