My old sow guinea pig is much more demanding but still gives me many opportunities to be still with her. 3 Reply Linda1 month agoLindaReally, anytime. Tune out the noise, and listen to my inner promptings. This has been a wonderful discovery for me. 2 Reply Don Jones1 month agoDon JonesIt has been a journey. There was a time (or maybe better described as a perspective) when I felt alone. But there has been an unfolding realization that has accompanied my practice, my Zazen, my Sadhana, my Life journey. The realization opened my eyes to a different "seeing", a different being. When I was lonely, it was me here and others there. But with the unfolding realization, there was a shift. The being shifted from here to over there and over there and over there. In fact, everywhere....It has been a journey. There was a time (or maybe better described as a perspective) when I felt alone. In fact, everywhere. The paradox is, there is still only One, but it is all inclusive. Stillness is everywhere. It is those little gaps between the inhale and the exhale. It is those moments when the hands come together. Those moments between the beats of the heart. The whom? Well… (smiling). Blessings to All for a beautiful day. 🙏❤️ 4 Reply Ed Schulte1 month agoEd SchulteThe “where” is not a place in Space or Time ( it is in the Psychical “4th dimension” ) so that the “whom”, ( which is our global Essene community ), can gather and pray and yes “listen” to our Hearts become ONE in Harmony and Love. All within a Vision of Global Peace through the Understanding of what a great privilege it is to BE Human Beings within the Divine Plan of our creator. 3 Reply Cathie1 month agoCathieThis is what I love about a stillness practice – I need nothing but myself. Stillness and listening can be practiced anywhere. For me it is rarely that outer noise that is an obstacle to stillness, but my own monkey brain:) 5 Reply carol1 month agocarolmyself 2 Reply Barb C1 month agoBarb CMy first reflex is the “where”–places like the ottoman in my room I sit on to meditate, my back yard where I sit to look at the sky and listen to the birds. When I think about the “with whom” I form an intention I keep returning to and then losing in the actual moments with other people, which is to listen deeply and without thinking ahead to what I’m going to say next. 3 Reply Hermann-Josef1 month agoHermann-JosefSometimes I am allowed to stay few days completely alone. In the beginning inner voices become very loud. But after some time without talking to anybody inner silence becomes louder than voices. Then and there I can be still and listen what the moment is presenting 7 Reply Nancy1 month agoNancyAnywhere there is no television- anytime, anywhere😊I love nature and all the beauty of it- the sights, sounds, smells and touch of a breeze on my skin whispering “I love you” 6 Reply Charlie T1 month agoCharlie TThe ideal is to be able to be still and listen with anyone and anywhere, but some places and people are more challenging than others. 8 Reply carol1 month agocarolyes, same here on both counts. Of late, I’m more into being mindful of the obstacles and growing in the capacity to notice and sustain this sense of stillness. 3 Reply Mary Pat1 month agoMary PatI can be still and listen when I am alone…and by the ocean, in Nature always…. 5 Reply Carla1 month agoCarlaUsually in the morning as I lay quietly beginning my day. Bird songs from now opened windows surround me as I too praise the Creator for a new Dawn. 5 Reply sunnypatti1 month agosunnypattiRight here and now at my dining room table, sitting on the bench at the head by the big window… my meditation spot. Or my yoga room, my garden, the beach. If I’m having a stressful work day, I make sure to take my break outside so I can sit in stillness and get back to my Self. I also enjoy being still and listening with my husband. When we’re walking hand in hand on the beach, just taking it all in… that’s one of my favorites 🙂 7 Reply Ose1 month agoOseDuring meditation, alone or with others. At work also, while meeting and listening to my fellow people. When listening to a classical concert in a concert hall. As well when in nature, while walking in the woods. I would guess it is possible in all places, noisy or not, and with the people who consciously like to join in, diving into stillness and listen. 8 Reply devy1 month agodevyI can sit and be still with myself first thing in the morning when I wake up and silence is present. I have been focusing as well on practicing to be still and listening to those who I am interacting with. My anxiety has interfered with this and at times my “monkey mind” takes over. With my continuous meditation practice and learning to focus on the present things are getting easier.. 9 Reply Pilgrim1 month agoPilgrimIn the woods/forest.
