We may have our differences or our disagreements about things but we are all children of the universe and part of the greater picture. Rather than being angry or upset and someone, I try to put on their shoes, question why people act a certain way and hope that either through myself or others that we can still show love and compassion. Even though we cannot force a person to change, perhaps by showing compassion they will see the light to help and change...Thé world and everyone needs compassion. It has been very painful to be the person to meet w/ this family four days a week in their home attempting to repair some of the damage & to offer peace and healing. I need to offer compassion to the worker. She’s a human who got sidetracked and caught up in human emotion. I can challenge her with love & compassion at the forefront. 7 Reply Kevin1 year agoKevinIt seems to me that compassion, one to another, should be at the root of every outreach to another human being, period. Full stop. 8 Reply Pilgrim1 year agoPilgrimYes, absolutely, Kevin. 3 Reply Ose1 year agoOseSo many – people who are sick, close to me as well as people I do not know so much as well as fellow friends and people who suffer intensely due to the pandemic, who are fearful of losing their jobs or even how to find something to eat for their family. I try to reply through caring, calling them, donating money, be compassionate and helpful whenever I can. Recently, I had to decide against the wish of someone for a special kind of treatment where it was difficult to find clarity about what would be best for the one concerned and for the whole situation. After referring to several experienced and entrusted colleagues, I had to say no to her, which probably will be difficult to be processed. All my compassion is with this one, and still, I could not do other than refuse her desire for her own sake and safety and for the whole situation to be guarded well. So I will include this one into my prayers. This could have been me also in some respect related to a deep longing I carry with me , and may be, I have to accept a No also. If so, I will bow to it, as I know it would be well chosen and guarded from a perspective I cherish and appreciate fully. If so, I would kindly ask for prayers also, if possible. And, may I say, it’s nice to “see” you again also, my friend. 5 Reply Lioness1 year agoLionessAs we approach a national lockdown here in England, members of a business and community group that I run will need compassion from me and from each other. I can show it be being there for them, listening and supporting them when and where I can. 10 Reply Michele1 year agoMicheleMost people need compassion right now. I can show it by actively listening, smile, by showing empathy and kindness. Hugs and virtual hugs. 5 Reply EJP1 year agoEJPEveryone needs compassion right now. We all just need to be silent and listen. 7 Reply Howie Geib1 year agoHowie GeibAll the people who are acting in ways I find abhorrent. The vitriol, the animosity, the disrespect and the cruelty. If I am correct in my reading of history, these kinds of things rarely have anticipated positive consequences and we are in for a bit of a rough patch. Like a fever it must run its course, and the best I can do is not get triggered and end up in the throws of it, like a rip current, best to stay out of the water, but if you find yourself caught in one, swim across it NOT swim again...All the people who are acting in ways I find abhorrent. The best I can do is pay attention and stay out of the way of falling objects.
