Ose10 months agoOseAn unknown kind and warmhearted, friendly man sitting in a church, who stood up and was talking together with my dear friend in front of me about the angels “flying” in the church which she loves so much, telling us they were saved during WWII. It was a deeply touching moment all together. 0 Reply Ney10 months agoNeyMy classmates in grad school and my teachers are all very kind and supportive. 1 Reply Malag10 months agoMalagA good tradesman can be hard to find. This one came in when he said he would, did the job well, and had reasonable rates. And on top of which he had a pleasant attitude. 4 Reply Heather10 months agoHeatherMy students this year are a cache of gems. Very unique personalities and deep thinkers. They may have gaps from the pandemic but they are an awesome collection of human beings. I definitely feel blessed. 4 Reply Sophia Reynolds10 months agoSophia ReynoldsA hidden gem I rediscovered is my roommate. We were talking and I was talking about some of my struggles that have come up recently and she was there listening but also encouraging me. I was grateful for what she had to say. 4 Reply Don Jones10 months agoDon JonesIt is mainly a solitary devotional path, so opportunities are not abundant, but the Divine always shows up with every passing encounter – even for those who try really hard to cover it up! 5 Reply Donalda10 months agoDonaldaI assist some refugees families with their food shopping. One lady in particular is a ‘hidden gem’ with her attitude and appreciation of the help she receives. It is common for many to hide that preciousness, sometimes even from themselves, with arrogance, resentment, impatience, anger, deceit, and generally turning in – their brilliance is indeed hidden from many. 11 Reply Anna10 months agoAnnaThank you for this insight, dear Chester 3 Reply Cintia10 months agoCintiaHer name is Rita. My friend lives in Texas and is there now, but her children attend the college here. The "hidden gems" I have met recently are her children. They live off campus and I have been letting them contribute to my compost piles, so one or both of them arrive every couple of days with compost, and sometimes we have conversations about plants or bees or whatever. They live off campus and I have been letting them contribute to my compost piles, so one or both of them arrive every couple of days with compost, and sometimes we have conversations about plants or bees or whatever. I received a text this week with a canning question from Eliza, which led to a conversation yesterday and I did a little research and sent her some links. It is so hopeful to me to see youth who are, on their own, dedicated to reducing waste, and who would bother to make their own canned applesauce! They are gems because they are our future. It makes me hopeful for our planet. Read More9 Reply Michele10 months agoMicheleI think some ‘hidden gems’ are my co workers. I am almost at my one year work anniversary – hard to believe it’s been a year already. I work with some awesome people and great mentors:) This website has many ‘hidden gems’. I’m grateful for having found this site. 4 Reply Carla10 months agoCarlaLike others have mentioned, pandemic restrictions have limited my meeting opportunities. I have a group I consistently interact with online. There’ve been some “bright stars” there who’s boxes have shined. 6 Reply sunnypatti10 months agosunnypattiI knew her for the past year, as she works in another department in my store, but only about two months ago did I realize she was a hidden gem. Her department was part of Grocery, but they decided to split it into it’s own dept, and rightfully so since supplements and other health & wellness goods require a specialized knowledge. With the splitting of the depts, Whole Body was going to need a Team Leader. She came to me and told me she wanted me to be the TL there, and while I knew that was going to be an open position, I had not thought about it being the position for ME. It all made sense, as my background is retail health & wellness. So I applied, did the due diligence, interviewed last week and was offered the job! I’m moving over and up, and I’m so excited and grateful for it! And this may not have happened at all were it not for Andrea. I’ve started getting to know her, and she’s such a bright light. A hidden gem for sure that is no longer hidden in my world 🙂 Read More10 Reply Michele10 months agoMicheleawesome! I must say though that meeting people through mediums such as Gratefulness. .Org has allowed me to see things in a different perspective through their daily submissions. I consider everyone as gems who provide hope, self- .reflection aand support. 8 Reply Butterfly10 months agoButterflyA hidden gem came back into my life over the weekend. She now runs her own company, a very good and secure business, so I know I will be safe with her in charge. Definitely a “hidden gem” with a human soul. 8 Reply devy10 months agodevyYes Great Danes are marvellous animals. We owned two at separate times. Their description as « Gentle Giants » is appropriate. 4 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
