One of them was here this morning. I have mentioned before that my husband and I are experiencing health issues that have required that we hire additional help. A beautiful young woman who helps with dog walking and household chores came by, and we had a lovely visit. She is very kind and caring and has a lot of spiritual depth. And, we are able to partially fill a bit of a void in her life, as she did not get the nurturing she needed as a child. We are able to provide some of the love and caring she missed.
There are two or three others like this who have showed up for us recently.

Ladan Yalzadeh, who leads a community of practice at https://www.honeyinthetemple.com/, and the women who have participated in online sessions with me. I discovered Ladan through my daughter, who knows her. In the early pandemic with so much physical and therefore social isolation, her workshops that combine movement and mindfulness and explore somatic practices created such a strong and meaningful connection among those who participated. They are my friends thanks to Ladan’s warmth and generous spirit.
She hasn’t offered workshops for a while due to commitments in the rest of her life. She holds a monthly women’s healing circle as well as the workshops. I highly recommend signing up for her email list if the site interests you so you’ll know when she has new offerings.

Ah, good question. Of course I am
    learning that being available to
connection is how this works. And
when I am in this open state, I am
    affected by everyone I encounter.
As for recent big impact, my friends
that I met four years ago, when my
    life imploded, Including my lovely
wife, Elena. They show me how to live
every day and I am so grateful for the
    wretched circumstances that threw
us together. And the friends here on
this site. When a friend (who had
    recently suffered a devastating loss)
sent me this link, I was so impressed
by the wisdom being shared here.
After reading the responses for a few
weeks, I reminded myself of my vow
to not be a bystander anymore and I
    would participate whenever I could.
This is all new to me, and I am grateful.
A big thanks to everyone who shares
here. You have all had an impact on
    me 🙏

I know a woman named Elena. She raises sheep. Your wife is the second woman I now know of with that lovely name. I thank you also for your reflections. Many have touched me deeply Charlie.

A former client many years ago listened as I complained about a car repair bill.
    “Can you pay for it?”
    “Yes,” I responded.
“If you can pay for it, it’s not a problem.”
I’ve recalled that conversation so many times in the years since. It never fails to stop me fretting about an unexpected expense.

Laura, I often think about this
      when paying my monthly bills.

One of my coaches came in to my school this past Monday to help me with an impossible scheduling challenge. Her warmth, cheerfulness and matter-of- fact sensible way of helping me solve the scheduling problems was a real uplift to my work week. Despite her load of duties, she chose to come in to my school so that we could meet in person, rather than just talking to me via Zoom. A big thanks to her, Debbie!! 🙂

My great nephew, newly turned 6 and a first grader. He so reminds me of his grandfather, my younger brother, at these young ages. His exuberance mixed with unbridled joy is a gift to my heart.

Our youngest grandchild Emerick. He just reached six 3 days ago. He has an exuberance for life I rarely see in young children, and it just seems to grow each time we do the magical “facetime” on the handheld computers that folks refer to as phones. Thank goodness my wife has one. This past summer he and Aubrey spent a month with us. His zest for life and much laughter had an impact with me.

Joseph, as I’m sure you have had
an impact on him too. Some of
      my earliest memories are of
      “helping” my grandpa out in
      his garden.

I just completed a reunion of 80+ ladies who have known each other for 63+ years.
The staff at the hotel were gracious, attentive, and patient with our many requests.
We may not interact with them again, but the memory of their kindness will last forever.

The meditation helpers in the meditation that I started doing about two years ago have had a big impact on me.
They have been unbelievable in the way they guide this meditation method and how they have helped me to deal with my mind. The method is simple it is to let go of all of our karma- the life lived, habits- all of which we inherited from our ancestors and the body – what we believe is us. The helpers are amazing people and they focus diligently to show us all how to let go of our burdens, fear, stress and doubts!
This is simply great -fullness in action !
There are centres all around the world! See you have one and it’s all on zoom if you don’t want to drive !
No, I don’t work for them ! But my life is changed because of this meditation method and the helpers !
