My parents I have told them I love them and admire them telling me they love me. I will tell them their love is something I desire for happiness. My siblings I will be present and available when they need me. I will apologize for my fear based actions and will ask them to tell me ways they want me there for them as well. My cousins, and close friends I have sent a message and Ecard expressing my love of their support while advising them what’s been going on with me. I have taken time away from them because I feared being let down and searched for love in other places and noticed it is temporary and I will always come back to my family, NOT BECAUSE I AM DEPENDENT OF THEM but because I love them and they are my family my forever home!!! But I’ll narrow down and pick one. My dog is an emotional connecting point to the family and paves the way to help that connection happen and also spreads joy wherever he patters. He knows how he likes to be thanked and won’t be slow to remind me. 1 Reply Dusty Su9 months agoDusty SuSo many dear ones have helped influence, pave the way, kept me going throughout my life. Sometimes it is not a WHO, but a set of circumstances. It is a choice. It’s my bravery that makes a way. Life is a collaboration of many factors. But without those who stepped out for the dance, I’d not have gotten as far as I have! FOREVER grateful! My thanks are by using the gifts bestowed upon me in the best way possible and passing on the favors. 3 Reply Ose9 months agoOseThere are so many, known and unknown, all who came before me, and I would say all who are with me, you here all who share and help finding my way through listening to your contributions also, for which I am deeply grateful. I can only hope it is a gift and so to express my gratitude. Instead, a few helped me prepare for a spontaneous unfolding. They don’t want thanks, praise or worship. They just want to see blooming. That is how I will thank them. 1 Reply dcdeb9 months agodcdebMy ex has helped me a lot by getting me into various work assignments. I don’t know how to thank him because he seems to be the type of person who will never get enough of the attention he craves. He’s like a double edged sword. 1 Reply pkr9 months agopkrI would have to say my parents. They instilled in me a strong moral compass & the gift of integrity. Thank you universe, thank you so much. Sending you all loving kindness and gratitude. 2 Reply Mike S9 months agoMike SAntoinette,My sentiments exactly. We are all interconnected with all beings through all time. So our thanks and I deep gratitude must be to the universe itself which gave birth to life out of which we have also come. I could thank all my ancestors known and unknown.? I can thank the sky and the sun and the rain and the earth and everything that grows on it and all the people who have come before me that I’ve made life possible for me. Where does it end? 1 Reply Cathie9 months agoCathieBesides the family and friends that have loved me through this life – people I don’t even know! Thanking family is easy – to thank those unknown who have paved the way – maybe I can thank them by living the best and most authentic life I can… 2 Reply Pilgrim9 months agoPilgrimA whole line of matriarchs along my pathway, now among the Communion of Saints. Specifically in later years, two women professors at seminary, and two wondrous women spiritual directors whose way along the pathway of light changed and continue to change and honor my life. Theirs is the way of kindness and deep wisdom. I have been greatly gifted and my gratitude runs deep. 4 Reply Ed Schulte9 months agoEd SchultePierre Pradervand,, and I thank him by sending Prayers and "Blessings" of Golden and also Brilliant-white nebulas of Life-Light each morning. But there are human beings which, thanks to the positive aspects of the modern communication modes share their wisdom. Wisdom which echoes the teachings I am energized and expand on……Pierre and his “The Gentle Art of Blessing†is one such…..examples below …. “One of the secrets of an unburdened Happy Life is to realize that absolutely everything we believe is ours is actually simply lent to us by the universe so as to grow in love, service and joy…., bless ourselves in our ability to discover the profound joy, deep contentment and lasting peace born of unselfish service. We bless ourselves in our ability to serve with no strings ever attached to our activity as a simple gift of our love we lay on the altar of the Divine Love.†“We bless ourselves in the understanding that sees absolutely every single encounter, challenge, fear, appearance of lack… as an opportunity to grow in love. May we meet every hurting soul with the oil of compassion which lifts up, consoles, and pours the healing balm of love on every wound or resentment, every hatred or hurt. May we meet every broken or solitary heart with the gentle companionship of love so that those concerned may feel the deep caring born of such solicitude. May love be our constant inspiration and energy – and mold every thought, word, deed or feeling which we express, that those we encounter may experience us as the very presence of the Divine in its radiant splendor. ” Excerpt from pierrepradervand.com/365-blessings-to-heal.. There are more ways than acknowledgement but I think that’s a core aspect of thanking someone, especially someone who has paved your way. By embodying their legacies through my behavior, my actions and the witness I bear through my posture in this time. 6 Reply Kevin9 months agoKevinI routinely “thank†the people who have helped to pave the road for me down through the years. I do it by saying or printing their names, occasionally holding them in thankful prayer and appreciation for their place in my life. I would love to be able to look them in the eye and say “thank you†yet again, but unfortunately, all but one or two of these mentors have passed away. 8 Reply Patricia9 months agoPatriciaThe same for me, Kevin. I can only imagine how lonely it must have been for him on that ship, not knowing anyone, not having a lot of money, and not knowing what was in store for him. Thankfully, he survived, raised a family, and hopefully died at peace…but how hard and brave he must have been to change his life and our lives in that one decision so many years ago…. I thank him by leading the best life I can, and I “carry on”.
