Every day I see another area of my life that I simply could not have survived or succeeded had it not been for thier involvement. 4 Reply Howie Geib5 months agoHowie GeibAll my riders who trust me to get them to their destination safely. For without them I would not have work. And the haphazard quality of not knowing who or where I will be going each day is like a daily adventure. It makes what might otherwise seem tedious quite satisfying as work. 5 Reply Lioness5 months agoLionessMy family and friends for their honest opinions about my chosen new career path. They gave me plenty to consider, pros and cons. I was able to come to an informed and more fuller decision and I feel stronger for their support. 6 Reply Antoinette5 months agoAntoinetteAfter reading the thought of the day I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m thankful of my migraines which seems to be exactly what the quote of the day is teaching. Migraines have been my sacred illness! Sounds actually completely sick to be writing this! I’m grateful for this moment of being alive right here right now. I couldn’t be in a better situation. I am humbled by the kindness and compassion of others and all of their gifts. Thank you so much for love. 10 Reply Michele5 months agoMicheleWhen I read the word for the day I thought of Covid – how that has changed us and the world. Sending you healing energy for pain relief of your migraines. Feel better:) 2 Reply Antoinette5 months agoAntoinetteHi Michele, Thank you . Fortunately the attacks have lessened the past few months. Yes Covid has also changed us and in some ways for the better! We all run around constantly consuming so much we haven’t stoped to look at our selves, dear ones and Mother Earth. So I agree Michele that we need to stop and take a deeper look at what is really going on here. Hugs 🤗 Thank you for that . 1 Reply Papilio5 months agoPapilioI can relate to your reflection. I, too, have migraines, which got so severe that I was not able to function normally over 15 years ago. Through my attempt to make my migraines more manageable, I started walking a different path. I’m grateful for that. 3 Reply Antoinette5 months agoAntoinettePapilio, Wonderful. What path do you mean? Have your attacks lessoned ? 2 Reply Papilio5 months agoPapilioAntoinette, Firstly I appreciate your vantage point, which gave me an eye-opening moment. I had read the exact same “Word of the Day” as you mentioned before reading your reflection. But I didn’t consider my migraines as a sacred illness. The path I’m trying to walk is the path of equanimity. When none of the prescriptions worked, my neurologist recommended “yoga” as a last resort. Since my life was near bed-ridden with weekly migraine attacks, I had no choice other than starting yoga. I ended up with 700 hours of yoga teacher training. Yes, yoga/meditation practices helped to reduce the frequency and severity of migraines significantly. I also learned during the process that I had been addicted to intensity. For example, I practiced yoga or I ran to the point of causing injuries. I’m now gentler to myself as well as kinder to people around me.
