This calmed my whole body as I have been so anxious about the outcome of our elections. 6 Reply Michele4 months agoMicheleI loved this – when I’m in a relationship I love hand holding. I smile whenever I see couples holding hands. 1 Reply Don Jones4 months agoDon JonesPeace comes when … visualize all of those roles, responsibilities, expectations, etc. as soap bubbles. As I dissolve them or pop them, all of the boundaries disappear. This is where peace resides. No deals to broker with God or anyone else. Just boundlessness. 4 Reply Linda4 months agoLindaMaybe it is the calm before the storm, but today I feel more at peace around next week’s election than I have before. I welcome it. 4 Reply Holakiewicz4 months agoHolakiewiczPeace is in the stillness of water in a pond, in the constancy of the sun’s rising and setting, in the ebb and flow of the tide, in nature itself. Cultivating a consistent practice of meditation allows me to internalize this stillness and peace. There is struggle in maintaining my practice though. 5 Reply Zenith4 months agoZenithPeace is present right here on this site. It is present in me every time I meditate. Peace is a sense of quietness that is right here inside us. We must allow it to pervade our little worlds and connect us to each other. 5 Reply Mica4 months agoMicaPeace is in me, when I stop and notice it 4 Reply Papilio4 months agoPapilioInner peace always exists within me once I could connect to it by breathing slowly & deeply, and witnessing what’s going on in my mind. It is not easy to welcome peace into every moment of my daily life, though. Perhaps I should drop everything for three minutes at every hour to meditate or pray to just quiet my mind. 4 Reply Trish4 months agoTrishThere is definitely peace within me. I sometimes forget that….I can welcome it by surrendering & not trying to control outcomes. Things unfold beautifully without me managing them. This invites me to simply breathe….. 7 Reply Linda4 months agoLinda“Things unfold beautifully without me managing them.” So true, yet so hard to remember when things are challenging! I love this. 4 Reply Trish4 months agoTrishIt’s hard for me too, Linda🌻 3 Reply Amy4 months agoAmyPeace is present each morning during the quiet time of prayer and meditation. I look forward to it and embrace it with a wide open heart and arms. Each day my prayer is to carry it forth into the day and bless all others with peace even if only for small moments. God bless us all as we strive to be here now and give thanks for all we have been given. 4 Reply Dusty Su4 months agoDusty SuIn the quiet tonight. I’m in bed with a poignant, but humerous, book about death. It’s oddly comforting. 4 Reply Pollyanna Gladwell4 months agoPollyanna GladwellThat sounds like a wonderful book, Dusty! Would you care to share the name and author please and thank you? 3 Reply Dusty Su4 months agoDusty SuIt’s delightful. I found it as my mother’s independent living facility. It’s very short, big print for elders, and highly enjoyable. His humor is great. It’s called “How Shall I Tell the Dog?” by Miles Kington. It may be at your library. It’s a very short read and I do not know if I would buy it, but I would borrow it from a library or buy it from a second-hand book store. 2 Reply Pollyanna Gladwell4 months agoPollyanna GladwellMerci! I had a look online, and I think can read it all at Google Books – or at least a good chunk of it. 1 Reply Dusty Su4 months agoDusty SuGreat. I think humor around death, especially one’s own is a helpful tool. 0 Reply devy4 months agodevyI had a troubled sleep last night with odd disturbing dreams. Today peace is with me, right here. I am grateful for the second question: how can I welcome it? Just by asking that question. I recognized it was here and I am gladly receiving it. 5 Reply sunnypatti4 months agosunnypattiAll around me & within me! When I am not at peace, I am not paying proper attention.I quiet myself each morning, welcoming the day with peace & gratitude. I was told once that peace is always a breath away 🙂 5 Reply Lioness4 months agoLionessThis is a difficult one today as there is conflict in my household and some very cruel words being thrown at me from someone I love dearly. I think perhaps I need to make time for peace today by myself to take myself away from the negativity and hurt and to try and realise they are just words and I need to try my best to remain at peace to help myself and my family member who is causing my hurt, because they are too likely to be hurting. 7 Reply Michele4 months agoMicheleI can relate to this – I had same issues last week. 0 Reply Mica4 months agoMicaOh, Dear Lioness – my heart goes out to you 2 Reply Kevin4 months agoKevinI am an early riser, and I experience peace, most consistently, in the quiet hours between 4 AM and sunrise every morning. 7 Reply Michele4 months agoMicheleThere is peace present in my home. I welcome it each morning and evening before bed. There is peace in nature- all you have to do is just look for it and it will bring you joy. 4 Reply Malag4 months agoMalagAt this moment I am waiting. And I could be impatient but I’m not. Just sitting here relaxing. 4 Reply Howie Geib4 months agoHowie GeibThe natural world around me: the pond outside my condo with it’s three or four generations of ducks, Herons, Egrets and Osprey, the painted turtles and the Bass and Gar under the surface. And in the mornings at work I drive along the beach, which never ever fails to calm my nerves. Almost everyday I get to watch the sunrise. It’s where I go when I leave here after posting each morning. 5 Reply Trish4 months agoTrishI vote that we have a picnic at Howie’s!! It sounds gorgeous. 3 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
