Where do you feel possibility right now?

    With a change in work and retirement on the mid horizon, frankly it’s all possibility right now. Its just up to me to step in a direction. Where I go is secondary to just going in some direction.

    I have a good feeling that my struggles with certain deep questions are going to be resolved soon. I just feel in my bones that my worries about hell, forgiveness, cultural misappropriation, and whether the divine really exists will soon be alleviated. I am going to continue pursuing these questions because I know that the sooner I have insights, the sooner my mind will be relieved.

    I feel a possibility for good change in our society! We have been going through many growing pains as a community between virus, race, politics, equal rights, etc. I think we are in a rough patch but I see so much possibility for our community to come out so much stronger in the end. The growing pains will be tough but I see the rainbow at the end where we will be much stronger!

    I don’t ‘feel’ anything right now. Impatience with the Universe. Opportunities are around me but I don’t feel I have the resources to accept them, meaning they cost money. I feel like perhaps my learning Irish, Dutch, Latin, and Hebrew might help me in the future somehow.

    There is possibility everywhere. Who knows what the next day will bring? What a chance meeting will bring? It is up to us to see that possibility and go for it. Sometimes I have been surprised by what I have done and other times it has been what I am waiting for.
    I suppose with Covid changing our world there are more opportunities to rethink and rest. I certainly feel that I am thinking more about what I do and trying different things out, being braver, focussing less on work…..

    I’m feeling the possibility to make my own choices of people with whom I choose to spend time. Right now for my own wellbeing I cannot be around negative people who believe conspiracy theories. There is always the possibility that I can learn how better to deal with them, but right now I am not there.

    I feel possibility not only in my own heart and soul but emanating from others. I feel that Amanda Gorman fully made me realize this in her Inauguration Poem, The Hills We Climb. “For there is always light, if only we are brave enough to see it. If only we are brave enough to be it.”

    I feel possibility in my current relationship with my partner – that we could start a business together – something I’ve wanted to do for a while. With my ex I always hesitated because I didn’t feel we could collaborate well… but I feel lucky I found someone with whom I feel things are possible.

    There are encouraging signs this morning, in our society. Here in the U.S. I just heard that the first black president has been elected for the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union). Perhaps we are making progress in dismantling racism and inequalities. There are also bits of hope in the pandemic. A new study has found that people with Covid antibodies already, may only need one dose of the vaccine, which would make more vaccine available to reach more people quickly. The study will be going...

    But I think the most important place for me to feel possibility is in myself. I’ve been feeling a bit discouraged for the last couple of weeks, and I’ve been sluggish, though there is much more I could be doing. Then last night I could feel the winds shift inside me. I’m ready to make some changes, to start doing more things, to start exercising again, to get back to my creative projects, to work hard on some things, so that when I do rest, it brightens the fun of it.

    Okay… time to go out and shovel snow! 🙂

Today’s quote says it well: “Human beings are not born once and for all on the day their mothers give birth to them, but . . . life obliges them over and over again to give birth to themselves.” That’s where I feel possibility right now. I think that’s the true meaning of the teachings on the “virgin birth.”
