I do miss my closet though. 0 Reply Debra1 year agoDebraToday, I participated for the first time in an online magnificent Easter morning service joined in message from various Unity ministries. It was moving. It was enlightening. It was so extraordinarily inspiring and powerful. Blessings and love to you all this Easter Day! 4 Reply reality1 year agorealityI can’t remember 🙂 reality 4 Reply Malag1 year agoMalagAt a small level, not long. I listen to music of a composer where i haven’t heard a work from that composer before. Or I use new software for the first time. Or I eat food I haven’t eaten before. But at a bigger level, a long time. Probably comes with the accumulation of experience over many years! Oh, just thought: I did an exercise class on Zoom recently – that’s a first. 6 Reply 1 year agoI have never worked at home so far, I have never used digital platforms to meet colleagues and customers. It was so weird. Talk about weird, my family has started zooming and my. family has never been known to communicate….oh and ..Wearing masks to the grocery store for supplies, and watching people in a very warm community physical distance themselves from each other. Bizarre times. 4 Reply Joni1 year agoJoniIn the past week I’ve joined a ZOOM bookclub meeting, What’s App to talk with a friend in New Zealand, and worn a mask to the grocery store. I’m trying to embrace change as I think a multitude of things will change because of Covid-19. 4 Reply Garima1 year agoGarimaI think I made dosa aloo for the first time today 4 Reply Jerrie1 year agoJerrieWithin this past week I posted my reflections on the daily question for the first time. I am grateful I somehow stumbled upon this site a couple of years ago and started journaling to the daily question. Some how have felt the collective wisdom I have found here even more comforting at this time of our lives. May the Universe continue to.bless us all with this virtual companionship.??? 8 Reply Melissa1 year agoMelissaI have never worked in the garden so long for comfort. Or did Zoom before or talked to my twin brother from 10 feet apart. This is a very strange time. 5 Reply Niv1 year agoNivI gave a talk online with a Psychiatrist on dealing with uncertainty during the current pandemic. I have never done a talk with a Psychiatrist before online, and it felt great. I am grateful for his humility. 7 Reply Bodhi1 year agoBodhiAfter listening to an old interview of Brother David with Krista Tippet on OnBeing I was touched by many of his reflections and actually wrote them down. Then I decided to search him on Goggle and landed here. I am very grateful for your creating this space which will illuminate my path forward and I am looking forward to offer my open heart for sharing with all. We do not live alone, ever, in any moment we are connected with all that exists. Bodhi from New York City 8 Reply Mica1 year agoMicaLast week I sewed my first face mask. I’m giving them to a checker at Safeway who was giving out masks to people who didn’t have them. 7 Reply genny dumay1 year agogenny dumayWow, that was great! 1 Reply Nancy Walton-House1 year agoNancy Walton-HouseMy husband and I attended the December 2019 Christmas in Constantinople Concert by the Cappella Romana Vocal Ensemble from Portland, Oregon. This group is “dedicated to combining passion with scholarship in its exploration of the musical traditions of the Christian East and West, with emphasis on early and contemporary music.” They are superb scholars and singers. A second treat was that they performed in Seattle’s beautiful St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. I went to that church once many decades ago. I really enjoyed visiting there again. It was my husband’s first time in a Greek Orthodox Church. He appreciated the architecture and art as much as I did. It included choral music and a reading of the relevant Gospel done at a distance by six parishioners. I found it surprisingly meditative. Three days ago I, too, sewed a couple of masks, one from a man’s shirt, the other from an old linen bedsheets. I was glad that I’d thought to save those bits of fabric in my sewing drawer which became rather bare after a misguided Marie Kondo purging. 5 Reply Palm1 year agoPalmI had planned to recycle my old bed sheets at H&M and kept forgetting. I am so glad now, I used the fabric for my own hand sewn mask. 1 Reply Nancy Walton-House1 year agoNancy Walton-HouseWe’ve been attending online Holy Week services with great music also. I am so grateful my parish, archdiocese, America – The Jesuit Review and the Vatican make these services available to us. Participating actively helps me find God in the coronavirus pandemic. I feel connected in meaningful ways to so many good people in my faith tradition. I am truly grateful for the technology and people who make these gifts possible. I wish you a Blessed Triduum. 6 Reply Samuel1 year agoSamuelTwo weeks ago when I set up my late wife's sewing machine and serger and commenced sewing homemade fabric masks for the covid-19 pandemic. I appreciate your positive attitude. As I wrote to Kevin, what many of us experience now is not what we could remotely call “adversity”–read memoirs from Rwanda or the Holocaust for that. At the highest, many of us are just inconvenienced. You have devoted your energies to those who are really in need. Blessings. 4 Reply Samuel1 year agoSamuelThank you, BabaYaga!!
