To think that we can now detect events occurring further back in time – more than 13.5 billion years ago. I find this very humbling.. we are just a minuscule part.. 4 Reply Diane1 month agoDianeFriend Pilgrim….sending you blessings on this our Prayer Tuesday. I was away from home and computer all day … my sister was visiting from Florida and we were out and about. I wish you blessings and peace my friend, today and in the days ahead. 1 Reply Diane1 month agoDianeDear Pilgrim….I am so happy for you to have had this time with your sister. I hope and trust that you have created beautiful and special memories together. ~Blessings ♥ 2 Reply Don Jones1 month agoDon JonesIt is actually the “looking out from” , the observer, that is the wonder. 1 Reply Charlie T1 month agoCharlie TWell, I can’t see it, but I can see the effect of the wind moving through the trees. 2 Reply Rabbit1 month agoRabbitThe hummingbirds that come to our feeders usually chase other hummers off if a second one tries to feed. Today I saw two feeding together pretty peacefully. It was a delight and perhaps a lesson. 1 Reply pkr1 month agopkrI can see big glorious Redwood Trees sprinkled here & there. I can see green grass, ginkgo biloba trees, white flowering bushes, royal palm trees & date palm trees and an occasional bird. I am surrounded by God’s abundance, I am blessed. I am grateful. ❤️🙏 4 Reply Rabbit1 month agoRabbitWow! that is lovely. I visited Mariposa Grove many years ago. I heard recently heard that it is threatened by wildfire. Have you heard anything more? Beautiful memories for us. Have you read the book “The Overstory?” 1 Reply pkr1 month agopkrRabbit, I believe the firefighters have been able to protect & save the Mariposa Redwoods. Thank you Lord. I do have the book, The Overstory & have been thinking about making that my next book to read. Thank you for the reminder. Have a beautiful joy filled day. 1 Reply Rabbit1 month agoRabbitYou might also like Harry’s Trees by Jon Cohen. I have been recommending it and three people have told me they loved it. Lovely day to you too. The delicious heat of the sun. 1 Reply Hermann-Josef1 month agoHermann-JosefTo look into this flat thing called computer and being able to communicate to you all over the world still is a wonder to me. 4 Reply Mica1 month agoMicaNice clouds – a strip of pale blue sky with strips of gray clouds above and below. I appreciate this opportunity to enjoy them more than I would otherwise have done. 1 Reply Elaine1 month agoElaineRight now I am at our off grid cabin on the ocean front in bright early morning sun. Birdland is alive the sea is calm at mid tide, an otter’s whiskered head, pokes above the ocean surface, big venerable juniper holds space, copper arbutus bark shines. Awesomeness everywhere. 2 Reply Diane1 month agoDianeIt's another spectacularly beautiful blue sky summer morning here in the Western U.S. Brother Sun is shining bright and I see the gentle swaying of the trees from Brothers Wind and Air through my kitchen window. It's a desert climate here and I am savoring the warmth of the sun without the humidity...so very grateful for that. Sitting next to me is the beautiful hydrangea plant given to me by a new neighbor-friend. I can see that the tomatoes on our sunny back deck are starting to ripen…our first attempt growing them here. And the daily hustle and bustle of the diverse community of birds has begun….visiting our many feeders. Mountain bluebirds, magpies, barn swallows and meadowlarkss are a new delight for us here. Sunlight falling through the cherry plum tree, setting some of its dark red leaves on fire as they create moving shadows across the lawn thanks to the breeze. A clear blue bowl of sky above with not a cloud in sight–another hot day on its way. Tiggs the cat with his purring, questioning meow seeking something (inside the house–we like birds too much to let him out). 3 Reply Marnie Jackson1 month agoMarnie JacksonThe growth of summer …. Then as I arrived home, a beetle was lying on the porch; its back legs waving frantically as it tried to right itself. I spoke to it as I flipped it over and told it to have a good day. The worms did not realize that they were in a precarious position but the beetle did. Helping these creatures set the tone for my day. To top it off, my phone just rang and I’ve been given a last minute appointment at the chiropractor which I truly need. Creation is one. We are all wonders of the natural world. From the ants scurrying around me feet, to the dear eating from my garden (fix fence), acrobatic birds in flight fighting for food and dominance, laborers preparing the golf course for their guests, my dog Kriya sniffing out her territory – checking for infiltrators and friends. I am blessed to be present for this, and not so different from the rest of God’s creatures. 4 Reply Yram1 month agoYramI am delighted to see, a cloudless blue sky, swaying flags at full staff, yellow day lilies, full leafed trees, others musings on the screen and a cup of steaming coffee. What I can’t see but hope for is a full day of possibilities. 4 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
