KC11 months agoKCto say yes to a lifetime dream of a studio, which I envision as a shared space for fellow travellers to find inner stillness, peace, to find and express their/ our voices. It is dedicated to my dear mother, who lost her voice and inner/ outer footing in life and was unable to recover it during her lifetime. She moved on to her next life ten years ago this August. Also, learning and practicing to take things one breath, step and day and a time ... and to make the best of whatever happens. One of my African American friends was afraid - understandably so. I told him I would be supportive either way he decided, and just helped him with the known facts and data. In the end he chose to, and I'm so proud of my friend because I know how hesitant he was, but he did it out of love for his family. :) We may never know what lives we save by getting vaccinated, but t...Getting vaccinated for Covid, and encouraging others to do so, even transporting a couple of people to get vaccinated. At least some of the Olympiads who have come down with Covid in Tokyo this week were vaccinated (as reported on CNN and BBC). Vaccination certainly improves our situation, but vaccinated folk who become infected can transmit, too. However remote the possibility, I don't wish to cause harm. I love the freedom that has come with this decision! I do miss the people~families & co-workers and I may go back part-time in the fall. Having three surgeries in two months was something I am still recovering from and will be for awhile. Changing my lifestyle a bit, and quitting a committee I was working on has been good.
