I love the luxury and the quiet beginning of a new day. I try and reflect on everything and everyone that I am grateful for. And focus on Joy. I enjoy the season, a cup of hot coffee or tea and do a meditation with a Dharma group. Then some exercises, a healthy breakfast and off to my office. 1 Reply Maeve4 months agoMaeveMorning. My mind and body (usually) are calm and refreshed, and I feel the most peaceful. And it’s a new start. Here in Pennsylvania, this past month, I climb the hill behind the house I’m staying in, and look out over all the trees and feel grateful for the trees, the green and the natural world. 1 Reply Malag4 months agoMalagFirst thing in the morning. Meditation. Some breathing exercises. This site. Tea. Porridge. Look forward to it every day. One of the joys of the new normal for me is not having to commute. So grateful for that. 3 Reply Sandhya4 months agoSandhyaNight when i go to bed i have plenty of time as i do not have to rush to do my daily routines. I thank for the wonderful day i had and introspect myself to become a better person 2 Reply Nancy Walton-House4 months agoNancy Walton-HouseThe morning is most peaceful for me because I enjoy silence and have no distractions. I notice the natural environment that surrounds me and reflect on the many gifts I’ve been given. I say a prayer of gratitude, prepare for a gratitude phone meeting hosted by Covia’s Well Connected Program and write in my gratitude journal. Doing these actions makes the beginning of my day peaceful. I really benefit from that. 4 Reply Don Jones4 months agoDon JonesThe zone between 3:30 am to sunrise. The spiritual practices seem to be seamless with the cosmic flow at this time. The silence is deafening, the stillness most energised, the devotion transmits with great clarity. 6 Reply Melissa4 months agoMelissaGoing outside in the mornings with my family. When I get to hang out with my mom. Reading my Bible. Going on walks especially around nature. Going swimming when it’s possible. Prayertime. 2 Reply Arleen4 months agoArleenEarly morning is the most peaceful. The sun is just coming up over the horizon, the air is still, and the dew is sparkling on the grass. There is a hush all around. No noise, no activity. Just peace. The day is full of hope, yesterday’s disappointments are over and I have a whole new day to get it right. So many possibilities await. 6 Reply Linda4 months agoLindaThe evenings, especially in the summer. The day winds down, the leaves shimmer as a breeze comes up, the sun sends out long shadows across the lawn as another lovely summer day comes to an end. A time to breathe and give thanks for the day. 3 Reply eliza4 months agoelizaI love the early moring as the darkness slips away and dawn breaks. The garden gradually becomes alive with birds and rabbits, the trees come out the shadows and show their full beauty. silence becomes birdsong and i feel as if i belong. Such a precious time that nurtures my deepest longings and losses and which colours my dreams. and makes sense of my tears. 3 Reply KC4 months agoKCMorning for sure, in the darkness just before dawn is the most peaceful time for me. I also love the time through the sunrise and just after dawn, hearing the sound of birds, people stirring, the world and life around slowly waking up to another day … 2 Reply Debra4 months agoDebraDawn. I love the silence juxtaposed against the illuminating sky. 3 Reply Carla4 months agoCarlaI’m enjoying & finding more peace in the morning hours 630-730 CT. Birdsong symphonies are a treat, now complimented with crickets harmony. I used to find solace in 10-1130 pm as well. Since 5/25 in Minneapolis; George Floyd’s egregious death, random gun fire permeates the former stillness. 2 Reply Michele4 months agoMicheleThat’s terrible. It so sad that the BLM is being associated with violence, gun fires, looting. Why can’t everyone protest peacefully?? 1 Reply Carla4 months agoCarlaHi Michele, I made no reference to BLM, and I understand your point. Thanks for comment. 0 Reply Papilio4 months agoPapilioDefinitely early mornings. After a cup of coffee, I savor the gift of new day. My heart and mind are fully open to whatever comes. Why? I feel I receive unknown reassurance that everything will be OK every morning. 2 Reply Zenith4 months agoZenithRight now. Early morning. Few people are moving about. Sunrise is magical for me. Because no one else bothers to make the effort to get up to see it. It is my meditation time, when I connect with God and energize myself for the day ahead. Sunset has the same effect on me though not quite so profoundly. Each sunset feels like death to me. 1 Reply Michele4 months agoMicheleThe mornings when I first get up enjoy my coffee and go on this website are the most peaceful for me. I also enjoy the quietness of bedtime too. 1 Reply Patricia4 months agoPatriciaRight here, right now – pre-dawn with the gradually lightening sky in the east… the dark silhouettes of the trees and leaves gently waving a ‘good morning’ to me in the breeze. A hot cup of coffee, the quiet, reflecting on gratefulness, setting the tone for the day… praying… centering … knowing: God. Is. Taking that first conscious breath, aware of the Spirit in me, sustaining my life … 4 Reply devy4 months agodevyEarly morning when I arise which is usually just before the sun comes up. My spouse is still sleeping so I have the opportunity to be alone with a hot mug of herbal tea. I can hear the crickets chirping, the birds chirping amongst the silence. It gives me time to meditate, plan my day and reflect on my life and gratitudes. The early morning gives me the opportunity to start anew and hopefully help me maintain inner calm during the day although I know this can be a challenge. 4 Reply Antoinette4 months agoAntoinetteMornings !
