Brown Rose7 months agoBrown RoseLanguage (reading, writing and comprehension). My level may not be at its highest, but the level I do have, in some ways, are a life saver, allows me to be autonomous and I am able to get more done. I can even be creative, which adds to the enjoyment of it, adding to its repertoire and it can kill, save time or, just plainly, dispell boredom. Yeah, language! 2 Reply Sandra7 months agoSandraOn the occasions when I come late to these questions I learn so much from the replies of others. Reading the question, my immediate response was that for today at least, it feels like I have no skills or at least nothing that usefully contributes. And of course, as I read the skills identified by you all, I began remembering that I have that skill, or that one, and even that one. Haha. I’ve really recommend if you are looking for an awesome series to watch PBS Nova series called Planets. Super amazing and blown away by that series so if you want to be in awe that is a great series. In myself maybe the capacity to keep finding the non-serious edge in life, the enjoyment possible and try to ride it in a way along with being honest. I try to keep things somewhat inane at times which others find negative perhaps but also helps me to have more ease. But I'...Mine or others? Haha. I’m kind of at the extremes of being very honest yet also extremely inane, it sort of balances hopefully. The problem with this is that they always need upgrading but i guess one thing builds upon another. 2 Reply Hot Sauce7 months agoHot SauceMy greatest skills are probably my intellectual abilities. I am grateful for my abilities to think through ideas logically and to wonder about deep questions, growing in wisdom at each moment in my life. 3 Reply Melissa7 months agoMelissaEmpathy for others along with action to help even in very small ways like a smile or holding a hand or giving food or saving a spider. Which I am fearful of some of the ones I have saved. They deserve to live. Usually I can lift up suffering just being sensitive to what comes my way. 6 Reply pkr7 months agopkrResilience. I think I have learnt through the years if I let myself go through my emotions-to be sad or angry-and then move on, that ability has been a real gift to me and others. And looking for the good in people rather than focusing on the negative has been helpful as well, especially if. it is someone who is unhappy and angry with the world. 7 Reply Pilgrim7 months agoPilgrimListening without interruption. Affirming others. Writing. Remembering song lyrics, or bits of them, and singing a phrase or two in response to a situation. Kindness and compassion. These seem more like gifts, not sure if they are skills. 6 Reply FUQOHAK7 months agoFUQOHAKsantri udah berangkat 1 Reply Antoinette7 months agoAntoinetteI am grateful for my enthusiasm and diligence. I try to approach many of the obstacles that I see in life with determination and enthusiasm. I keep learning over and over again about the things that I’m afraid of and most of the time I’m able to deal with them much better than I thought! Determination and resilience keep me going! 6 Reply Michele7 months agoMicheleListening, work ethics, love and kindness, and being grateful each and every day. 2 Reply Maurice Frank7 months agoMaurice FrankWithholding critical or harsh comments to others. It makes us both feel bad. Even when warranted, I try to be kind. 6 Reply pkr7 months agopkr❤️ 2 Reply Patricia7 months agoPatriciaI’m grateful to have an inquisitive mind and like to problem solve, as in DIY projects, fixing things at home, taking charge of my own health without meds, gardening, cooking and keeping up with tech stuff in computers and other devices. Figuring out how I can do something myself brings me a lot of satisfaction. 6 Reply Yram7 months agoYramI have the gift of hospitality. Folks feel comfortable and open with me. I have the gift to help students gain self confidence In reading. 9 Reply Antoinette7 months agoAntoinetteThank you for being a teacher and giving back! helping students gain confidence in reading is a huge asset! I have dyslexia and back in the day they didn’t know anything about that in the teachers that worked with me were never patient. And I appreciate so much today when people give their energy and enthusiasm for teaching children how to read and write. So thank you very much for your service! 2 Reply Yram7 months agoYramThank you! 2 Reply Michele7 months agoMichelethank you – hospitality is a great skill:) 1 Reply Yram7 months agoYramThis is so amazing to me. Thank you…❤️🙏❤️ 3 Reply sunnypatti7 months agosunnypattiThe ability to “just keep swimming.” Resiliency has been a big part of my practice for many years now. I am also grateful to be such a good cook. Being the oldest of four in a latchkey home, having dinner ready by the time our parents got home was one of my chores. Mom would leave a list of what to cook, but I got bored with the same ol’ same ol’, and started experimenting. Those days of trial and error paid off well! 12 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
