Against that truth, the petty fictions I reflexively adopt to get through this day or that task take a back seat. 1 Reply Malag1 year agoMalagIf you lean away it’s still going to happen! May as well get on for the ride. 7 Reply John Pemberton1 year agoJohn PembertonLife is too short. This past year I have witnessed death, bankruptcy, loss and things changing from day to day. It has lead me to believe that you cannot control tomorrow. All you have is today. And when things are good, try to be in the moment as much as possible, embrace it and enjoy it. 9 Reply Misty1 year agoMistyThank you for this reminder, John. 3 Reply dcdeb1 year agodcdebI guess one of my favorite perspectives is “this too shall pass”. 6 Reply Ose1 year agoOseIt seemed that a possible attitude was to find inner stillness. Then the experience is passed forward and is available for the next ones who possibly might benefit from it. Just like the sun. Always there, even if you can’t always see it. And shines on everyone, without exception. 7 Reply Toni1 year agoToniMovement is life. Move a muscle change a thought. It was good that I did. But I must tell you life for me is about movement. “You are as old as your spine is flexible”. I learned that from a yogi long ago and when I looked it up it is found in many circles so not its re-membered for me today and I will move in ways I have learned that make me feel alive and well. Qi gong, yoga, dance, core awareness work whatever it takes. Movement is life! Read More6 Reply Elaine1 year agoElaineAbsolutely agree Toni. We are bodies first. I regain a healthy perspective when I get out out of my head and move. I can count on it. 2 Reply Melissa1 year agoMelissaI figure everyone is challenged with the pandemic and just life’s regular trials like health issues, love issues and earning issues. So a smile or any effort at calmness, especially kindness to all now is so important. Again from my spiritual teacher I say every morning ” What would love have me do today? Something always arises to help me lean into life. Grateful and positive into life as it is now. 7 Reply Misty1 year agoMistyI like that, as a daily morning question – thanks for sharing, Melissa. 3 Reply EuphoricOcean1 year agoEuphoricOceanYou can’t change what has already happened. You can only attempt to affect your future. Not everyone is granted the privilege of Life. People die young all the time and it’s a tragedy when they do. Growing older is one of the most dreaded maladies of the modern age, but it is the natural result of living. Age is a privilege, embrace it! 11 Reply SK1 year agoSKThat what I may do or say may actually effect someone or make a difference in their day. Scripture tells us that the power of words is truly our super-power as human beings. We must be careful. My perspective is that everything will be ok. Let the process run, be patient, be prayerful, wait with anticipation that all will be well. Have hope, always hope. 6 Reply Holly in Ohio1 year agoHolly in OhioI know that what I do today will affect tomorrow: How deeply I love. What I make or repair with my hands. What words I speak of encouragement. Taking care of myself and others. The actions I take to help the earth and equality or at least not cause harm. Teaching and leadership. How I deal with sorrows and challenges or help others to. The perspective that what I do is relevant and that even as one small person I will affect my life and the world, this lets me accept imperfections in life....I know that what I do today will affect tomorrow: How deeply I love.
