Malag1 month agoMalagThe word of the day answers this. “By this method we come fully alive, full of joy, which is what we are all longing for.” I’m going to stop reading it in advance of answering these questions. 3 Reply Don Jones2 months agoDon JonesThe autumn leaves have fallen. A bird sings in the sunrise. Who is the listener? This moment awaits the next. 4 Reply Chester2 months agoChesterCoincidentally I just jotted a note to myself yesterday to work harder to see where/when/what is the opportunity in every day. Prepping for a meeting now to do some project planning – am priming myself to maximize the opportunities within this session now. 4 Reply pkr2 months agopkrPeace, quiet, reflection & coffee. ❤️ 3 Reply Hermann-Josef2 months agoHermann-JosefAfter an intense and busy working day the opportunity to lay down and relax is very tempting. But I’d better do some home work and spend time with my daughter. 4 Reply Diane2 months agoDianeI had to think about this for quite awhile. I think the key to this question for me is "in this moment". Always a challenge....and concurrently an opportunity......for me to live fully present in each moment. My monkey mind wants to go to regrets of the past or fears about the future. The opportunity I face in this moment is to quiet the chattering monkey by honoring what my senses are experiencing. The opportunity I face in this moment is to quiet the chattering monkey by honoring what my senses are experiencing. The warmth and the smells of my morning coffee. The blue sky, sunshine and visits by the birds to our feeders. The yummy strawberry preserves on my toast. The cozy blanket that cocoons me on this chilly morning. The sound of my bubbling Buddha fountain. Grateful for this question and for all of you. Smiles to you. 1 Reply Pilgrim2 months agoPilgrimI appreciate this way of focusing by attending to and honoring one’s senses, Diane. So often lately my brain is all over the place, especially in the mornings. Thank you! 2 Reply VicValz212 months agoVicValz21The great opportunity is someone who barely comes by. The fact that person is here today means an opportunity to speak is waiting for me to act. 3 Reply Mary Pat2 months agoMary PatThe opportunity to have a great cup of coffee I hear brewing across the room. Later I will check on all the seedlings I have planted, and see their growth-or not-and an opportunity to meet and connect with some new gardeners later today at a meet-up in town. 7 Reply Holly in Ohio2 months agoHolly in OhioSounds perfect! 2 Reply Mary Pat1 month agoMary PatThanks, Holly. It was a great day…. 1 Reply Holly in Ohio2 months agoHolly in OhioI’m in the space of my morning routine. I just fed the bees, made my tea, and now I am checking in and planning my day. There are several opportunities here… savouring the quote of the day by Brother David, enjoying the beginning of the day without lingering tooo long, haha, and choosing things to do today that are kind to myself, my family, my community, and the planet, all in balance. 5 Reply Javier Visionquest2 months agoJavier VisionquestI was blessed with an earth day swarm this year. It moved into an abandoned conventional hive that I left sitting directly on the ground at a tilt and not even sure it has in it a full array of frames. I’m glad you have bees, Javier. 3 Reply Michele1 month agoMicheleI would purchase honey from both of you even though you’re supposed to consume honey locally right. (for ppl with allergies) 1 Reply Javier Visionquest1 month agoJavier VisionquestI don’t harvest the honey, MIchele, unless a colony becomes “honey-bound” (where the colony has reached the limit of the nest and honey stores have taken up the combs where the queen lays eggs) That’s a difficult situation to even realize here inside DC’s beltway where automotive pollution, habitat depletion, and a ocean of cellular and other radiation makes it hard for many colonies to survive a summer much less make it through winter. 0 Reply Holly in Ohio1 month agoHolly in Ohioy e sss.... but... I spoke with a brilliant biology researcher about this and he quickly pointed out a problem with that. The allergies we have are to pollen which blows in the wind to propagate the plant, whereas bees collect pollen from flowers which need pollinators to propagate the plant! There is probably no connection between honey and allergy relief except for placebo and faulty early research. But honey is still awesome, and I wish I could share our honey with you and everyone here! ...y e sss…. but… I spoke with a brilliant biology researcher about this and he quickly pointed out a problem with that. I’m happy that you are here! 2 Reply VicValz212 months agoVicValz21That sounds relaxing 2 Reply Butterfly2 months agoButterflyReading this question made me stop, take a deep breath and savour this moment as I sip my morning cup of coffee. Later I plan to make a fairy garden, with the help of my gardener, for my nearly 4 year old granddaughter who will be coming to visit on the weekend along with her 9 month old sister. This will be the first time I will see them since this time last year so I am very excited! 6 Reply Ana Maria2 months agoAna MariaHow lovely! I would love to see your garden! I will become a grandmother for the first time in mid July. My heart is full of joy and anticipation. Gardening is something I hope I get to do with her, I will be retiring, my heart is full and ready to be with her. Thank you for the inspiration of a fairy garden! 2 Reply Kevin2 months agoKevinAn hour from now I’ll leave the house and head down to the marina to set up my team’s whaleboat for our 7 AM row. Warm wishes to you, Antoinette 🙂 1 Reply Ose2 months agoOseFor the moment being, it is being joyful to starting another busy day, the opportunity to fulfill quite some projects and may be even being able to become creative again, which has subsided for quite a while. Much work, I have to say, but much easier to do when grateful! While in the same time, looking forward to some relaxing time, God willing :-), when visiting my dear sister for her birthday. 6 Reply Mary Pat2 months agoMary PatIt is always great to visit family.
