I really like quotes as they are a way for me to express myself and at times in a way that is said in a different way then i wanted to or struggled with. A couple qoutes i like are:
“She Believed She Could So She Did”
“She Created A Life She Loved”
” I’m Perfectly Imperfect “
How
Did the rose
Ever open its heart
And give to this world
All its
Beauty?
It felt the encouragement of light
Against its
Being,
Otherwise,
We all remain
Too
Frightened.
(Hafiz)
I think of this today “Ebb and flow” Life flows toward our hopes and dreams, and sometimes it flows away. In periods of flow, life is easy and full of meaning and movement. But when our life ebbs, we may be struggling against the current, fighting to get a grasp on what is important to us
My best whatever that may look like is enough. You
can’t understand someone until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes.”
The person who first uttered this American saying is lost to history. The fact that it’s so well known is a good indication of the importance of empathy in living a meaningful life.
I’ve collected so many quotations over the years it’s hard to pick just one! Love the ones people have shared and I’m adding to my collection thanks to this question. I’ll have to go with this one:
“You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.”
-Max Ehrmann, from Desiderata
Another that reflects my perspective that what I’m putting out affects the balance of energy in the universe, and why wouldn’t I want to add to the positive rather than the negative:
“Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.” – The Buddha
For me, psychologist, priest and author Alan Watts said it best: “Belief clings; Faith lets go. Unless your belief leads you to self-love you will find it hard to truly love others. You will cling and call it love. Unless you learn to trust yourself, you will refuse to join the dance.”
“How we spend our days, is of course, how we spend our lives”- Ann Dillard
and “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad.
There are so many that have meaning…it just depends on the day.

Every time you are tempted to react in the same old way, ask if you want to be a prisoner of the past or a pioneer of the future.

There are many quotes that ramble
around in my head. This one is actually
a book title.
“Be here now”
Kinda says it all.
The serenity prayer seems to emerge most often for me.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference.
Be here now!
