When I can stop and pay attention I see it. 3 Reply Sheetal Sawant1 month agoSheetal SawantMusic is my way of coping with pain. I am grateful for all miracles of nature including my body and my mind. I am in love with the way nature heals itself. Giving us hope about how even when night fails dawn returns. I’ve never had someone to call mine. But there were some who helped me; supported me and loved me beyond measure. Those were my teachers. They constantly believed in me. And it fills me with wonder how someone can even love *me* I am filled with wonder when people talk about the things they love, the smile on their eyes. I am filled with wonder as the universe unfolds itself around me in the most perfect way. I believe in the universe’s plan. I wonder what lesson the moment offers to teach. Especially for an orphan like myself. Being a parent was my first experience of being part of a family. I would often ask myself, “What would a real Mommy do in this situation?” It is only by the grace of God and with His daily help I was able to have any success as a parent. I have two grandchildren I am not allowed to see, because, sadly, my youngest child is estranged from my husband and me. This loss makes moments with my son’s children even sweeter. I am amazed that I am allowed to be a grandmother, at all. The Lord has been very good to me. That feeling of having been given an unbelievable gift that money can’t buy. The connection with the spiritual realm that is felt when hearing or taking part in making, a piece such as Beethoven’s 9th. A simple sunset. These are moments we are allowed to feel one with the Divine. It is miracle. 8 Reply DeVonna1 month agoDeVonnaAh, Zenith, I can relate…I was a runner, back in the day. I was a Marine and my body was young and strong. I would run for miles easing into my runner’s rhythm. I can’t run anymore, but I still enjoy music! DeBussy’s Clair de Lune is mesmerizing… 7 Reply Papilio1 month agoPapilioSurprise phone calls and email messages from the friends who have no idea of what I am going through. 9 Reply Patricia1 month agoPatriciaThis one: I’m awake, breathing, grateful to be in the same room with a man and a dog I love, snow outlining the pine and birch branches outside my window, suet feeders hung waiting for the woodpeckers, chickadees and nuthatches who will visit shortly. 7 Reply DeVonna1 month agoDeVonnaSame here Patricia, except I have traded the frosty northwoods for the sunny South. I look out my window each day and marvel at the blue skies and sunshine and feel so grateful for the life we share. 5 Reply Carla1 month agoCarlabeautiful sunsets, the swirling clouds parting to see a glimpse of the sun as it begins dropping, and all the shades & hues in the sky’s color. The other is the lingering smell of a fresh cut lawn or field—that dirt & land could smell THAT good, intoxicatingly wonderful! 8 Reply Trish1 month agoTrishSo wonderful! 2 Reply Mica1 month agoMicaYes, Carla – beautiful sunsets – thanks! Re-birth year after year after year. 8 Reply Mike S1 month agoMike SSome huge Live Oak trees, snowcap mountains and valleys.. Once I was amazed when iI came upon a tree with literally hundreds of birds singing in it and the leaf cover was so full I couldn’t see one of them. 9 Reply Mica1 month agoMicaYes – thank you, Mike S! I love even the bark on the trunks of some fat Live Oaks near me – they make me think of old elephants. Now I want to see what the trunks of the younger Live Oaks look like. I’ve been shaking the branches to rain down acorns for the ducks on the ground, but the acorns are mostly gone now. Thanks again.(●’◡’●) 4 Reply Trish1 month agoTrishMountains, oceans, lakes & rivers & lush forests ~they fill me with wonder.
