I have eight siblings all of them have had cancer with exception of one sister, who was a child when she passed. All others had different cancers and some more than one, parents as well. Both my parents have transitioned as well as several of my syblings, they were far to young, way too young and sorely missed. This has had a profound effect on me and the deep love I still feel today. That effect has instilled deep conviction, not to waste one precious moment being unhappy. How could I squander one minute they fought so bravely to keep. Because I have to work at this sometimes, it all brings me back to the most important and driving force on my list. God first and my relationship with him next. All the fear and all the love in the world can be experienced through family. 4 Reply Laura M.7 months agoLaura M.Journey – They say having a child is to “decide forever to have your heart out go walking around outside your body.” I have spent many a night worried about my children. Hope all is well for you, your son and your family. 1 Reply Malag7 months agoMalagI hope all will be well, Journey. Children can for sure bring out all the fear and all the love. To strive to be a more loving light bearer to the world. Jesus taught us that our job is show love and be love to others. If I can remember that daily I can be a better human living on this earth. 3 Reply JayJacks7 months agoJayJacksWhat matters to me most. When I think of this question my mind instantly jumps to a material posession like my home or my car for providing me shelter and transportation. When I reflect on this to a deeper level I see that what matters to me most is not my material posessions, but love. The love of my wife is a profound gift I am grateful for. The love of my mother is a profound gift I am grateful for. The wisdom of humanity, all the trials we have faced and overcome are what matters to me. Love...What matters to me most. The willingness to evolve is what matters most to me. I believe that willingness is my primary job. Also, when considering this question: If you did not see William Shatner’s interview with Chris Cuomo after his 10 minute trip to space, I urge you to google it on you tube. 3 Reply SirPee7 months agoSirPeeLeading a life of contentment with peace, love, and compassion for all and the less privileged. 5 Reply Patricia7 months agoPatriciaLiving as a follower of Christ’s way in my thoughts and actions.
