Carol4 months agoCarolMy first cup of coffee for the day, a fresh cinnamon roll that my son baked yesterday, bright sunshine to help melt the layer of ice that fell beneath the New Year’s Day snow which my compassionate neighbor already cleared off of my sidewalk and driveway. The opportunity to be grateful and hopefully the willingness to be present and learn whatever life has in store for me today. 8 Reply Holly in Ohio4 months agoHolly in OhioI’m vicariously enjoying the cinnamon roll with you. 🤗 6 Reply Carol4 months agoCarolGlad to share! 6 Reply Maurice Frank4 months agoMaurice FrankA moment to reflect, and also to plan (lightly). 6 Reply Katrina4 months agoKatrinaThe steadfast love of God. 6 Reply Glen Harelson4 months agoGlen HarelsonI am new to gratefulness.org. I was cold and experiencing some pain, but in THIS moment I am no longer in pain, I am warm, I have a hot cup of tea and a sweet orange, and I am getting drowsy again so I will be able to go back to sleep. I am content! I’m glad for the question because it brought my attention to the relief after brief discomfort, so that now I understand it as a gift. 14 Reply Kevin4 months agoKevinBeautiful! Thank you. 2 Reply Kevin4 months agoKevinAt 4:30 AM, my day is just beginning. The only thing I want from this particular moment is to sit here quietly and drink my cup of coffee. What the day offers, and what the world wants from me can wait on the other side of my cup of coffee! After that, bring it on! 😊 11 Reply Maurice Frank4 months agoMaurice FrankKevin, I like your perspective! 3 Reply Michele4 months agoMicheleCats meowing wanting attention. 6 Reply Kevin4 months agoKevinI think cats know how to live better then we do, Michele. Let me grab a hold of it and see. Mmm, grabbing it is the thing I could do less of. Because grabbing at it takes me out of it. So it’s offering is to do absolutely nothing right at this moment. 10 Reply Kevin4 months agoKevinYou know, Malag, your response reminds me of the Zen saying of, “Do no new thing, “ which is what my Support and Oversight Committee advised me to do of doing no new thing (in ministry) for at least one full year when I retired. from from an active ministry with children and teens for 31 years since retiring. I can say that it was hard to do! The key is, the Spirit ought to decide what comes next, not this person called Kevin. I had days when I’d like to buck that, but I didn’t.
