I admit to having difficulty staying in the
moment. So the beauty of every moment is that I have yet I I have yet another chance to be right here, in the moment.
A moment of relax after a busy week.
I let my body and soul be nourished by the sound of rain, I am so happy to hear this sound, after such a long time of drought. I enjoy my cochlear implant, that
is slowly working, and brings me this beautiful music.
When I first read this I realized that specific moment offered the chance to talk with my husband and really listen, not be on the computer. So now I’m back. THIS moment is offering sunshine highlighting the leaves of our backyard shrubs from the east; crispy sourdough toast made with bread from the great little neighborhood bakery I walked to a couple of days ago; fresh eggs from my friend’s chickens; hot coffee I jazzed up with a little maple syrup for a change; and our cat Tiggs squirting around the house being goofy a minute ago and now calmly drinking from his little bubbler fountain bowl as if he wasn’t turbo-charged 5 minutes ago. Cat brain! And enjoying reading all of your moments and feeling the community here. Thank you all.
While searching for some material for tonight´s meeting just right now, the file of a most precious resource here on grateful.org came to my hands. It is the speech held by Br. David in 1975 at the United Nations: “A Meditation for Peace”, https://grateful.org/resource/united-nations-meditation/ which again touched me deeply. Each word coming from the heart, each message sent out to the heart of us all. Thank you dearly for this, dear Br. David, and for all your precious work which you share so abundantly with all of us. 🙏🙇🙏
This moment is offering and I accept:
Quiet
Bright sun and blue skies
Buds on the trees
Warm lemon tea

Gratefulness for God and guardian angels watching over my daughter.

A moment to reflect and check my
compass. A reminder to be present.
A moment to be grateful.
Equilibrium some low self-esteem mixed with high self-esteem feeling like I can contribute to the world instead of being competitive… dog eat dog
