Joy today was a phone call from a stranger who called to give me a little insight on my daughter’s struggles. She had struggled herself. It comforted me. I needed this today and perhaps the Good Lord knew I did. My daughter is safe. So tonight my mind can rest.

Deep inside, thanks to this question, awareness appears that there is some light arising to my inner eyes from a place where before it was dark and almost hopeless, and with it, deep joy. Allowing trust to be added, it unfolds and is enlightening my heart right now. Such an unexpected gift! Thank you for this question! 🙇🙏

There is much joy in this moment.
My wife will be returning from a
    difficult trip this evening.
Right now, I’m sitting here in the sun room
    drinking coffee. Surrounded by plants.
    Making plans for the day.
I will be taking care of things around the
house and yard today. I am so glad that
I have some time to do this.

Joy is alive in the presence of my 14 months grandaughter. Her joy to see the birds land on the electricty wire on her yard while I was holding yesterday made me cry. How can something we see everyday be so much joy to this beautiful being? I must see the world through her eyes, watching her is my joy. I am blessed to have her and her mamas in my life.

When I read this question the first thing I did was to look around for our cat. Whether he’s pouncing on a toy or curled up sleeping, he is always fully in the moment. When he’s getting ready to pounce on the feather wand one of us is jiggling for him, his intent stare, wiggles of the haunches in preparation, and one-paw-at-a-time creeping forward are all a form of animal joy and anticipation.
I’m eating a delicious breakfast and will be getting on my bike soon to ride downtown and have coffee with a friend I haven’t seen in a while. Riding my bike *always* makes me happy and spending social time with someone is pretty rare so that’s a treat to look forward to.

For me, joy is when I’m gifted with awe in an ordinary moment. I find moments of awe come more often in the winter of life. I watered my indoor plants this morning and was reminded of a comment made by a employee at the local Walmart when I bought a plant in desperate need of everything from water to a larger planter. She said, “Thank you for rescuing this plant and giving it a chance to live.” The plant has struggled–even with loving care but it is going to make it and today it has a couple of blooms! That brings me and I have no doubt the plant itself joy.

Reading the responses of you beautiful seekers of a grateful life
    My sister’s 54 wedding anniversary
A cooler day before the heat
That I awoke with few pains
    Warm water to shower with
My son’s pain relief (at the moment)

Joy is alive in my heart at this moment because I am focusing my intention on how I feel when I am in the silks. Joy is alive. Joy is alive in my heart when Jesus saves me and that is alive in this moment because I am saved. Joy is alive at this moment because I am alive and God has granted me the gift of life in responsibility for executing his will and moving with purpose. Glory, honor, and joy are alive at this moment because with gratitude, with every sentence I wrote in this thread, I found something else to be grateful for which is truly the entire essence of joy being alive within me even now.

    What a great prompt.

In case you come back to this page, Macaradanielle, can you say more about being in the silks? Do you mean aerial silks?

Joy is alive in this moment in me…My husband and I have been away for a few days. We are back home now-. What a wonderful place our home is…this morning, I am sitting in our living room…looking out our beautiful windows at the trees and plants. It is wet and raining; but I am joyful being home. I have my faithful cat, Finn next to me and Clancy my dog is sound asleep on his bed. Peace and quiet in our home. I am so very Blessed. And here with all of you…and reading what brings you joy…what could be better!!! Thank you, Thank you. Blessings to all,

In the space where I sit just inside the western edge of the Washington, DC beltway, joy is very much alive within and around me now.
