It is a bit of a commute from work to home, on an average day it can take 30 to 40 minutes. This gives me an opportunity to reflect on my day the good and the bad. It also is a time to just transition and relax, listen to the radio, which helps me to wind down and leave work at work. I have missed this quiet time since COVID-19. 0 Reply Miholler10 months agoMihollerIt’s when I go to my baby’s bedroom to meet him up with a big smile on his face. I am very happy that this year, may be due to the much better quality of air and the avoidance of insecticides due to the Corona crisis, we have much more birds singing here. It fills my heart with joy and I am so grateful to hear their singing, knowing this pleasure is filling the ears and hearts of my neighbors also. A natural pure joy to the hearts in such times for which I am deeply grateful that it is. So I am grateful for the sun peeking through my bedroom windows when I wake up. 2 Reply Cal10 months agoCalI love the first light in the morning. It’s a new sun, and that new light has beauty. 2 Reply Melissa10 months agoMelissaI love the light just when the sun is going down. A sort of golden light in the summer that seems like it is magical for a few seconds. 2 Reply Hot Sauce10 months agoHot SauceI love night! Something about the contrast between the dark sky and the mildly bright moon and stars gives me a sense of wonder, and night is the time when I feel most alive and productive usually. I think it’s some of that yin energy taking effect. 1 Reply Olivia Sant10 months agoOlivia SantMy favorite time of the day is (in summer) waking up with my blinds and window open, with the morning light shining through my window and waking up to the happy chirping of the birds outside in my quiet and peaceful neighborhood. 1 Reply Patricia10 months agoPatriciaMy favorite time of the daily is sunrise. When a new day begins to unfold and allows for a fresh start. OI love awaking before anyone else and just being in the stillness of the day. 1 Reply pkr10 months agopkrMy favorite time of day is first thing in the morning. I am grateful for this early morning time because it is QUIET. I am able to pray and meditate in this quiet peacefulness. ? 1 Reply Gerry10 months agoGerryI love morning with two cups of coffee and thick cream (yes, thick cream). My mind starts rolling, I check the gratefulness site, answer the daily question, and get into my day. Night I love, also, because my husband goes to sleep early, releasing me from my care-taking. It reminds me of when the children were babies, this little patch of freedom for oneself. 3 Reply Christina10 months agoChristinaEarly morning and about 5p. The sun! 1 Reply Rachel10 months agoRachelI very much love when I can slip on my pajamas, the soft cotton swaddling my skin, to climb into my bed and stretch my body after a day of holding myself up. In that moment I can finally let go and relax into the full support of pillows and mattress. I am warm. I am comforted. I can rest. And, I am always aware that not every one lives with this gift. 2 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
