If more of us push the dial just a little the right way it is cumulatively massive. 4 Reply Palm1 year agoPalmTo do all I can to stay in a positive high frequency so that the good just happens. 4 Reply Dusty Su1 year agoDusty SuTo leave things/people/situations a little better than I found them. This is how I will pay my rent for the space I inhabited on this beautiful planet. 7 Reply sb1 year agosbI was brought up both by teaching and modelling from my parents to serve and I have always tried to serve in whatever way I can. Digging deep, I think my bottom line intent is to bring love. If it is only for a moment, it is worth it. As a teacher, we have often taken children no one else would take. I feel that if we can offer them love even for the short time they are with us (sometimes just a matter of weeks) it might be the only love they experience. If I can spread a bit of love to, for example, the lonely old neighbour, the friend having a bad day etc etc, I feel I have done the best I can and made a difference in the world – I will have served my purpose. As a teen, it was so through listening carefully to guests who were sharing their problems and, through understanding and sharing perspective, to possibly increase awareness of the situation as a whole; later through finding equivalents to support increase of consciousness in order to help freeing the mind of possible unhealthy perspectives, God willing and with His Grace. Whatever way is meant to be to serve, may I humbly want His will to be mine. Then all is well. Take my mind off of my own issues, and become a better person; to be more of a human by becoming more humane. 6 Reply Poo1 year agoPooThat feeling of serving the humanity gives inner fulfillment, satisfaction and purest form of joy that’s unmatchable to anything materialistic. That just add an extra ounce of purpose to my existence. 4 Reply Melissa1 year agoMelissaTo be kind to all. To be aware enough to help when I see a need. To be grateful to be alive on this beautiful planet Earth and protect it. 5 Reply Antoinette1 year agoAntoinetteMy deepest intent is to heal in order to be able to be of service. 6 Reply Chester1 year agoChesterMyself and the world are one and the same. I can’t ignore the world, while serving myself and I can’t ignore myself while serving the world. My deepest intent to serving the world is to nourish myself. Is that selfish or selfless? Indeed I see it as both. I’ll leave how I serve the world for a future reflection. 7 Reply Elaine1 year agoElaineAligning small and big choices with tending, reverencing, honouring Earth, our only home. 5 Reply pkr1 year agopkrTo be kind. Starting with myself I am lowering and then reversing my footprint, and helping and teaching others who wish to do the same, or who just wish to help their families out of financial crisis, which is done the same way. I'm also trying to be ever more accepting, listening, and kind, especially to those with opposite views, and those in denial. We are all one family, time we start acting like it....The quiet crisis is climate change, but it is certainly taking many lives and causing great disruption. On a side note… for those of you who read my first mention of Mr. Hopeful (the sparrow who took possession of the birdhouse outside my kitchen window), we just caught first site of Mr. & Mrs. Hopeful’s chicks yesterday, or rather a BIG YELLOW RIMMED MOUTH poking his/her head up for more grub and more moving shadows behind! We know they hatched almost two weeks ago, because we saw mommy and daddy bringing food so constantly. It is so fun to watch them. Not too different in behavior from human parents with their own brood. Have a nice day everyone! He had his camera pointed at the other car. He saw me and gave up. It was a terrible scene. The women in the other car was alone. The bully had a women drive his car and got out of the car to harass the other driver. His car was turned head into the spot head on blocking traffic in both directions. When he saw that I was taping him, he gave up , got in the drivers seat and drove away. Taping him was not my first response. I though of calling the police until I saw the man take out his cell phone to intimidate the other driver. Before I got to the window I heard two cars honking that’s what got my attention so I rolled up my shades. I am on the first floor so the scene was in clear view. What I saw was happening in mid stream. I was surprised at my reaction to tape. I got the idea from the bully. I’m sharing the details because that intent was automatic. So I guess my intent is to act when necessary on behalf of others. Read More5 Reply Holly in Ohio1 year agoHolly in OhioYou are quite a champion, Toni. Sometimes all that is needed is a random act of kindness. With others it is a commitment that is timeless & with good boundaries, for we speak the language of the heart. 6 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
