It started with a cold, and got worse, then went away. And it came back with a vengeance. Then, it got better for awhile...just like a seesaw.....but yesterday it started to worsen again, so on a virtual appointment with the doctor, they registered me for the antibodies. I have had both vaccines as well as the booster. I can only imagine without those what my mortality would be.....I know the antibodies will not cure this virus, but it will help my body...I was diagnosed with Covid a few days ago. I have had both vaccines as well as the booster. I can only imagine without those what my mortality would be…..I know the antibodies will not cure this virus, but it will help my body fight it. There is still great risk, and yes, when I got the diagnosis fear became very real…..but with my body doing all it can, and the antibodies soon to help, medical science and educating myself have taken a place in the forefront of my mind and helped me to be less fearful. This question is very real for me today, at almost 4 in the morning. My insomnia is having a hay day, and all kinds of things are in my foggy brain. But meditation helps-there are many on fear-and I will be doing that while I am infused today. They have told me it takes hours, 2-4, because they have to watch you for an hour after, so we will see….to not be gripped by fear is something I have been living recently. It is easy to go there, but easy has never been my thing. Wishing you a successful infusion:) I lit a candle for you too. 3 Reply Ose9 months agoOseMay His light and healing be with you, dear Mary Pat. I hope that on the physical level, the Antibodies will strengthen you so that the body might be supported to fulfill healing from this sickness. We all are with you in this and you will be in my prayers. 3 Reply Mica9 months agoMicaOh, dear, Dear Mary Pat – I have lit a candle for you 🕯 4 Reply ALICIA9 months agoALICIAMary Pat, you have many praying for you. As many people have said “this too shall pass”, “live in the present”, “the only thing to fear is fear itself”. These come to mind. 2 Reply Kevin9 months agoKevinOn principle, I have been reasonably content to live my life as a member of one political party in my country, while at the same time believing that my country is best served by having more than one political party to represent its people. I fear for the wellbeing of my country even as I try to understand these other political viewpoints. I have yet to figure out how to fear less without sticking my head in the sand. I truly believe good will win out, it may just take some time. God bless you & yours. 🙏❤️ 3 Reply Samuel9 months agoSamuelAmen, Kevin. Remember, God IS in charge, and at the appointed time will be victorious. We are charged to do His work here on earth. He will direct us, as He did Moses and so many others, as to what to do and how to do it when He is ready to do so. “To everything there is a season…” Ecclesiastes 3:1 6 Reply Kevin9 months agoKevinThank you, Samuel, for your words here. 2 Reply ALICIA9 months agoALICIAWe are, indeed, in a season. God is in charge. Thank you, Samuel. 3 Reply Pilgrim9 months agoPilgrimI am with you in this, Kevin. 4 Reply Mary Pat9 months agoMary PatAmen. I could say more, but I will stick with Amen…. 3 Reply Michele9 months agoMicheleGood one Kevin -pretty much sums up USA right now. Sad. 4 Reply Christine9 months agoChristineMy brain is cracking at this question. I do not understand the question. Usually an answer quickly pops into my head, and I share it with you. I can’t make the connection between understanding more and fear less. Fortunately, there are always many nice answers from you that are useful to me and that are meaningful. Thank you from my heart.💛 4 Reply Kevin9 months agoKevinI had somewhat the same reaction to today’s question, Christine, as you did. I sat with this question and don’t really “like” my own response, which for me, truly answers today’s question. It was my strongest emotion, with the most clarity in my own mind and heart, with which I could answer the question, even as I cherish the fact that this site stays clear of political messages however it can, my response was what kept rising within in to express. 6 Reply ALICIA9 months agoALICIAI found you articulate and your concerns are truly understood. Well said. And, considering the US climate, fear is reasonable. I do my best not to let it incapacitate me. I so appreciate Samuel’s input, also. 4 Reply Samuel9 months agoSamuelKevin, your perception IS your reality. You are entitled to it and have expressed it much more tastefully here than many others have elsewhere. Thank you for being a “gentleman.” There are not many of us left in this day and age… 4 Reply « Previous 1 2 My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
