that WHATEVER HAPPENS, HAPPENS FOR A REASON….and its GODS doing. And at the end of the Day what that suffering brings it in me…..makes me stronger..emotionally, mentally and spiritually..

This made me think of something I read recently. “The sculptor never told the marble it wouldn’t hurt. There is a certain beauty in your creation.” I think that it hits the nail on the head, at least for me. I am in my in-between. My becoming will not be graceful or easy, but it is beautiful.

It’s hard to see beauty in the suffering. But in the moment while there is suffering it is there. For example: When I stop to notice something. Like a small child teetering while walking and just staying upright. Or a dog so enthusiastic that it wags its whole body. Or the clear drops of dew holding to a green leaf.

Just knowing that people care and want to be of help when I am struggling with something difficult helps me to see the beauty even in the midst of suffering. With difficulty comes much support, at least for me.

When we recognize brokeness in ourselves through other’s sufferings, we connect and begin to heal parts of humanity and the planet in a divinely compassionate manner.

Large spaces are opened up within us which enables us to sit more comfortably with the other’s pain. When we can sit and recognize their pain, we may find ways to help them carry it, and take responsibility for any part we play in it in the first place.

Nature especially after the rain. There are now mushrooms everywhere coming up. A monarch butterfly flew by and gave me hope for them to keep surviving. A smile from a stranger while I went for a walk. Always working at surrendering to the moment. Still I weep for the suffering in this world right now.

Just looking around at the people that I love, looking out at nature, thinking about some or all of the things that God has done for us.

Mother Nature. The big trees, birds singing, glorious flowers….My narcissuses/paper whites are flowering now, they make me happy. 🙂

There is always suffering in this life, our own suffering, the suffering of others, the suffering of the planet and all who exist here. When pain, loss and sorrow arrives on the doorstep we feel it profoundly. But just as suffering is with us, so too is beauty: a smiling child, the joy of nature, the healing sound of music, the written word, the perseverance of everyday heroes and she-roes who inspire us and sustain us during dark times. Suffering consumes us and hampers our ability to be buoyed by beauty but with grace and time we can recognize it and bring it into the difficult times.

I’ve been having respiratory problems for the past month which needs further investigation by a pulmonologist. It has amazed me how much my son has been so caring and loving on both an emotional and practical level. It brings me joy in the midst of my suffering to see how much love my son has for me. And I for him. Though my body is heavy, my heart is light.

By choosing to look at the learning in a situation, I can see the potential and beauty. Learning to love, learning to accept, learning to be less judgmental, learning what I value….there is always potential for learning – even though many of the lessons are hard

Where there is suffering there are also some who are showing love and caring for those who suffer. Love is beautiful.. There is also the appreciation of those suffering for any care or empathy they receive. Empathy is beautiful. And people or animals who suffer, are still beautiful and deserving.
