Malag4 months agoMalagThe idealist in me is saying “just do”. Don’t be thinking about whether it gives or has given kudos. The honest voice echoing somewhere within accepts that that thought is often there when I do a good act ie wondering whether I will get credit somewhere for the good action. So good question for flushing this out into consciousness. 3 Reply CLP4 months agoCLPI did not speak when I wanted to. I knew it was the wrong time 2 Reply Blossom4 months agoBlossomin hindsight I can appreciate this 1 Reply pkr4 months agopkrOn Christmas Eve, I helped a fella who had been out running, got messed with by a homeless guy & took a bad fall. I just happened to be driving by, the “runner” was down on the ground shouting “call 911”, so I did & proceeded to stay with him till the police showed up. I only mention this not to get any pats on the back, but to share that there are many of us who do the “right thing” a lot & often. We hear too much & too loud about all the “bad stuff” out there. ...On Christmas Eve, I helped a fella who had been out running, got messed with by a homeless guy & took a bad fall. There are so many folks doing right, doing good an awful lot. Let’s share the good news. Let’s shout it from the mountain tops! I for one need to hear it more. Thank you for letting me share. ❤️🙏❤️ Read More5 Reply Mica4 months agoMicaGo, pkr!!! ❤️ ♥️ 💜 3 Reply Anna4 months agoAnnaSipping a good tea with my husband, during these Christmas holidays. 4 Reply Marnie Jackson4 months agoMarnie JacksonHmmmm….I have been sick with a cold recently – so have been isolating in my house. Good deeds – playing cards with my children even though I just want to lie there and do nothing. 6 Reply CLP4 months agoCLPIt’s so hard to have patience and enthusiasm when sick. Way to go!! 2 Reply Michele4 months agoMicheleWishing you a speedy recovery! 1 Reply Holly in Ohio4 months agoHolly in OhioThat counts in my book, as does isolating so others don’t get sick. 🙂 I hope you feel better soon, Marnie. 🌷 5 Reply sparrow4 months agosparrowNow if I told you that would defeat the purpose, wouldn’t it? 4 Reply Mica4 months agoMicaKudos to you, sparrow! 🙂 3 Reply JayJacks4 months agoJayJacksI let my wife win at cards last night. 4 Reply Holly in Ohio4 months agoHolly in Ohiohe he. If you say so. 😄 6 Reply Holly in Ohio4 months agoHolly in OhioI stood up for someone when people were saying mean things behind their back. Does that count? I’m a bit puzzled by the question today. Is it intended to reveal to us our own nature, or to show us the world is a kinder place because many people do nice things, or is it intended to gently remind us to do more good deeds? I think the answer is… I need more coffee. Good morning, everyone! 😄 8 Reply Michele4 months agoMicheleYes that counts😊 3 Reply Holly in Ohio4 months agoHolly in OhioThank you, Michele! 🙂 2 Reply Carla4 months agoCarlaAs said by a few others…”not tellin'” Answering diminishes unselfish acts and would only serve to feed the ego. 5 Reply sunnypatti4 months agosunnypattiThis is a weird question to me. I try to do good all the time. I don’t need any kudos, so I’m not going to comb my mind and list them out here. 3 Reply Blossom4 months agoBlossomI like weird, but not telling. 5 Reply Maurice Frank4 months agoMaurice FrankI know that often others will help me in ways that are not apparent until later, so there was no opportunity to express gratitude at the time. This gives me hope that some of my actions might benefit others in the same way, unknown to me. 8 Reply Blossom4 months agoBlossomyou have been heard and gratefully so 4 Reply devy4 months agodevyEveryday I try to do something for people but do not always get or expect credit or kudos. Yes, It makes me feel good just to do the deeds without being compassionated. 6 Reply Kevin4 months agoKevinI do not undertake tasks and projects in order to receive credit or Kudos. I undertake tasks and projects because they need to get done. Of course, I enjoy receiving appreciation and credit for having done various things, but that is not why I do them. Frankly, I find the structure of today’s question somewhat unsettling. 6 Reply Christine4 months agoChristineI think there is always credit for a good deed. You feel gratitude that you were able to help. That I had the ability to do something for someone else. There is connection with another person. Even if it has nothing to do with another person, but for example nature; cleaning up litter from the street. Even then I feel honored by my work. 11 Reply Michele4 months agoMicheleBesides bringing in a stray cat, I hold the doors open for people at work, offer to help when I can:) 6 Reply Mary Pat4 months agoMary PatI’m not tellin’! 11 Reply Patricia4 months agoPatriciaThe perfect reply! 3 Reply Holly in Ohio4 months agoHolly in Ohio😄 You made me giggle! 3 Reply Kevin4 months agoKevinYES!
