I am a Buddhist, and I renew the refuge I have taken in this Path daily, and it definitely IS a refuge. I am sure it is similar in other religious traditions, maybe you feel it too? Lighting a candle each morning and praying for the light to shine through, then listening to what God has to tell me each day bring that same peace, that same sense of refuge. Blessings and prayers are coming your way as you make these changes! 3 Reply Howie Geib7 months agoHowie GeibConfidence is a source of strength for me in such instances. And the origin of the confidence is a combination of my awareness that in the past I have always gotten what I needed (not necessarily what I wanted). Paying very close attention to my part, staying loyal to my understanding of right path, and lastly, a narrow focus on the present. Asking questions like: “what do I need to do right now (if anything).” 5 Reply Kevin7 months agoKevinWhen I think about some of the giants of human character, the luminaries, leaders and visionaries of people we have last over the last couple of decades, I just have to hope and pray that new leaders and new voices of reason and wisdom will emerge in their own time when we need them most. 6 Reply Antoinette7 months agoAntoinetteMindfulness of the present moment give me strength when I have all kinds of negative thoughts and feelings arise. Everything we do, say, and think play an Central rule in how our life manifests. So I ask myself what is my aspiration? What do I want to see in the world? I want to cute to manifest as peaceful, full of loving kindness and compassion for all. There is enough for all of us here on Mother Earth if we would just slow down and take care of her. I hope each of us makes changes in our lives that correspond to peas and a healthy state of mind for all beings.
