These feed my soul when other things in my life take from it. 3 Reply Etta4 months agoEttaCreativity, compassion, community, healing, and humor. 3 Reply Don Jones4 months agoDon JonesI don’t really know what my Soul is. I have been looking for many years and have come to no conclusions. If it is NOT: anything to do with my body nor anything to do with my mind, then its domain is silence and stillness. But I honestly do not know at this point. 4 Reply Hot Sauce4 months agoHot SauceLiving sustainably, directing my own desires and skills to the needs of others, gratitude, consulting the I Ching, listening to all sides of ethical issues with the open and "empty" mind that Zhuangzi describes, reading sacred texts, prayer, studying forgiveness from various cultural and academic frameworks, studying UFO and alien encounters, participating in theater, running, watching movies on forgiveness, practicing creative visualization, respecting and admiring the interdependent web of exi...Living sustainably, directing my own desires and skills to the needs of others, gratitude, consulting the I Ching, listening to all sides of ethical issues with the open and “empty” mind that Zhuangzi describes, reading sacred texts, prayer, studying forgiveness from various cultural and academic frameworks, studying UFO and alien encounters, participating in theater, running, watching movies on forgiveness, practicing creative visualization, respecting and admiring the interdependent web of existence, having clean space (that’s the hard one for me), experimenting with the Law of Attraction, and reading classic literature all feed my soul. At the end of the time, I feel solidarity with the members. It can be family, civic, social, or religious groups. I just like being with people working for the same goal. 3 Reply Dusty Su4 months agoDusty SuSeasons of silence in a place that cossets with serenity and safety. Witnessing the healing of another. The nobleness of those who work toward and support that healing. Remembering where I came from and why I am through dying and returning. My morning coffee and time of connecting and directing for the day. Finding myself in another and the other in me. She was on the front porch, talking with someone (about 12 feet distanced from each other). I said “Hello, Christine,” and waved. She said “Hi, Ed, how are you?” and waved back. My body tingled at the joy of actual connection, at the sound of a familiar voice I’ve not heard in so long. 6 Reply Arleen4 months agoArleenI am starved for the company of people I have to separate from during this time. I long for a hug from a friend. Sitting in a coffee shop talking over the events of the day with someone face to face. To see the smile from the mouth instead of just the eyes. 3 Reply Dusty Su4 months agoDusty SuWe will so much more appreciate the small things that have turned out to be so big after our distancing from each other in this pandemic. 4 Reply Linda4 months agoLindaLaughing with friends. Dancing around the house with my husband. Talking to my family, who all live far away from me. Phone calls w special friends & family. Seeing neighbor’s two youngsters playing outside & hearing their giggles & tears. Engaging all my senses feeds my soul & I’m grateful for each of them. 9 Reply Papilio4 months agoPapilioIf I were asked this question last week, my answer would have been “Gratitude practice, meditation, reading books, photography, gardening, walking in the woods.” After hosting a family get-together on Saturday following the covid-19 guideline, my answer is now “sharing the meal, talking and laughing together in person”. When we said good-bye, each one of us took a chance to hug each other. 5 Reply sunnypatti4 months agosunnypattiConnecting with others. Truly connecting and feeling the shared energy of life. It was so cool. I felt the gratitude well up inside of me and floated on that for a while! My soul also gets fed by being in nature and being in and on the water. Playing with the dog outside, listening to the birds, watching the butterflies flutter around… surfing, swimming, floating in the great big blue ocean. And cooking! My soul gets fed when I can share my gift by filling others up with dishes I enjoy pouring my heart into. Thinking about all this feeds my soul, too! The sound of my breath; my husband and his love; my little dog and his engagement in life. The smiles of my grandchildren and their hugs. 6 Reply Trish4 months agoTrishLearning more about Jesus Christ & his friends through an array of authors, books (including the Bible, of course) & community feeds my soul & helps me to stay focused on the path to be a mature Christian, which is what I long for. Connecting with people feeds my soul too. We belong to one another. We are each other’s business. 7 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
