After having spent 5 weeks in Quebec City to help my father in law after his accident we are heading home. Accepting the fact that there will be lots to do upon our arrival but it will feel good to be there.

The endlessly unknown possibilities are exciting!

I think of excitement as butterfly’s in the belly before going on stage or when first falling in love – so I am not experiencing anything like that now or any anticipation in the near future…?

Yes, that makes sense, Cathie 🙂

There is quite a few different excitements in my belly and can not say which one is the most lively one. I will be running a children’s program in two days. I’m looking forward to cooler temperature and long hikes. Being in nature always gets me excited. Harvest of nature’s bounty is really picking up. I’m generally excited about life and what it can bring, even though sometimes it is not all songs and rose petals and I’m not always excited about the life lessons I’m supposed to learn when the songs and rose petals are dissonances and thorns.

I am preparing to make dozens of handmade Christmas cards, as I do each year. Collecting the supplies, looking for new ideas, and the overall excitement of seeing all the possibilities is one of my favorite times of the year!

I’m excited about supporting a paradigm-shifting, priority-reversing, joy-bringing political aspirant who is courageously taking on Goliath.

I have a lot of excitement deep in my belly right now. Although I struggle knowing which excitement to address first and how to address each one, I am grateful to have options. BTW – in order to come to that conclusion I had to reframe my labels of “worry and anxiety” with “excitement”. When I did my entire outlook changed to being Grateful. Thanks for this question today.

Excitement to see, appreciate, and/or meaningfully shape. Currently integrating into a series of new tasks and this excitement is very much alive and well.

This morning, it is the inspiration provided by the poet David Whyte, and hearing him recite his words.

I have hot coffee deep in my belly. Early in the morning I can get pretty excited about that–not much else.
Excitement is so fleeting. Thinking about this question reminds me how quickly it passes. A week ago I found out my team landed a $5M federal grant. I was definitely excited then! And now I have to work out how we deliver since that’s less than what we asked for, so I need to set meetings and mess with spreadsheets and negotiate and…. the excitement got overlaid with reality pretty fast. I need to remember to let it bubble up from underneath the chore part once in a while.

I have a full day. My excitement will be able to say at the end of the day “I made it the whole day with energy.”

Forgive me but I just started chuckling when I read the question. Needless to say, I took it literally! Not a good question for someone with digestive issues! I look forward to reading every one’s answers because I am enjoying my chuckle and want to dwell on it a while. I think it comes from deep in my belly! I guess I managed to answer the question!

Carole, you’re the best. Your comment made me chuckle. And that made my day. 🙂

I’m excited to visit one of my kids this weekend. The anticipation of seeing them, even for a brief weekend, never gets old.
I’m also excited for the change in season here in the southeast US. It won’t be consistently cooler until early October, but I’ve noticed that the light is beginning to change.

I agree! Here in upper Midwest there is a feeling of fall. I wish my kids in the NW would get relief from the heat.

This morning it is more joy than excitement. The pre-dawn sky filled with stars and the waning moon on my stroll to the barn to turn the dog out along with the sounds of the river made me grateful to be alive and sober another day.

I’m excited to finally be beginning my medical studies. Each day of hard work means I am one day closer to becoming a physician. This excitement does come with some fear and stress, but this is an opportunity few people get to embark on. I’m so grateful for this experience and excited about what it will bring.
