What dream lives on in me?

    That I will get through these past surgeries and resume my active lifestyle. Put all of the COVID loneliness behind and resume making a difference for one person each day. To be joyful and present in everything I do.

        Hello Mary, how very kind of you to ask. Thank you. It's been a twelve year struggle, with necessary back surgery in the middle of it all. But just recently I have become a "student" of a fairly new approach to managing ones own pain through mind-body work, elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and the central role that the brain plays in chronic pain. I have needed strong pain meds over the years to control the pain, but today, I have reduced opioid use to zero, and thus far have been ...

        Hello Mary, how very kind of you to ask. Thank you. It’s been a twelve year struggle, with necessary back surgery in the middle of it all. But just recently I have become a “student” of a fairly new approach to managing ones own pain through mind-body work, elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and the central role that the brain plays in chronic pain. I have needed strong pain meds over the years to control the pain, but today, I have reduced opioid use to zero, and thus far have been able to manage my pain levels by using a scientifically-based program called CurableHealth.com. I am still fairly new to the program, but thus far its been a game changer and life-saver for me! Thanks again, Mary, for asking.

    To help open and work in the first hospice in a developing country. So far, Belize seems to be the dream come true. A fulfillment of my retirement plan. Walk those at end of life over in a peaceful, supported way, support those with disabilities, enjoy life, enter a community with my heart, serve, live in the tropics, simple Zen-like, by the beach, travel a bit more, then die as I have lived. It may start to come to fruition as soon as mid-April 2022.

        Thank you, I appreciate that greatly, Patricia. I’ll/we’ll need prayers.There’s a long way to go, mountains to move, leaps of faith, situations sorted, and COVID boundaries to be braced. So, looking forward to setting up residence on the other side of the obstacles.
