Instead of getting knocked down by my limited perception , I see it a unique opportunity custom made by the universe just for me to evolve in this human existence. I embrace it with open arms and say to myself “C’mmon teach me all that I need to know and imbibe out of this moment, I AM READY and OPEN TO RECIEVE” . If you’re little uncertain this even works, I invite you to follow your curiosity and try this for yourself and experience the change in the way you look at things. Currently, curiosity invites me to follow the ways where stillness is present in our lives and how perception of silence or loneliness might be transformed into perception of stillness. When I spoke to a woman I met yesterday, she was kind and open to mention that she currently feels desperately lonely, aggravated a lot due to the current Covid conditions, which also made visible that some of her friends would not really be friends and not much of them are left. She lives alone while suffering anxiety due to former cancer. I told her that these days, I often would be sad, too, feeling lonely also or would cry, as all distractions, excitement or regular meetings where usually I would have met people or friends have been stopped. Then suddenly stillness was present, and from this some peace, some knowing that she and me, too, we are not alone in this arose, and that many people really are suffering deeply due to the isolation and all the heavy side effects of the pandemic. It was a precious, warm and soothing experience arising from stillness, leaving us grateful for this unexpected moment of shared peace. I’m sorry you had a difficult time, but so glad you are back home now. I’m glad you reached out. 2 Reply Holly in Ohio2 months agoHolly in OhioI’ve always been the kind of person who loves learning, and as a creative person also, I love learning how to make or do new things and probably take up at least one new skill a year. But in our current climate of dividedness, my new curiosity is understanding the wants, fears, views and paths of people who seem (but may not be) very different from myself. 7 Reply expati2 months agoexpatiThanks so much for your comment! I am learning to hold opposing views without anger. And to drop my personal narrative where I can move to a higher level to be more inclusive. 3 Reply Javier Visionquest2 months agoJavier VisionquestWhere does everything come from? All of our precious commodities, everything crafted by the hand of man owes its origin to a natural resource. The gods of my childhood were always found under rocks and flowing with streams, on bellies of snakes and the backs of frogs. I’d be curious to learn my purpose and why I’m here. When I seek divinity now, in the evening of my life, I venture out into the mountains and deep within. 8 Reply Carol2 months agoCarolI’ve always been curious. My family is known fora condition my 97 year old uncle calls “analysis paralysis.” We tend to want to understand everything. 6 Reply Patricia2 months agoPatriciaI value my curiosity… It makes life so interesting to notice all sorts of things around me and wonder about them; I want to know more about almost everything, including all of these interesting human beings who are sharing this journey. I’ll never be bored if I stay curious and I’ll also discover all the amazing ways God works. 6 Reply Trish2 months agoTrishFollowing the Holy Spirit is quite new to me. My curiosity has led me to open myself to her Wisdom & to really listen w/ my heart. She leads me places I would never see without her guidance. 7 Reply Craig K2 months agoCraig KFrom Kristi’s book “Wake Up Grateful”, I have been inspired to be curious about my feelings. Why do I feel this way? What caused the feeling? How does my body react? 8 Reply devy2 months agodevyCuriosity is raised when I am exposed to the unknown whether it’s something that raises interest about a certain topic or the reasons why people are behaving a certain way ( including myself). Curiosity increases our knowledge on things so that we can make better judgement or understand things. Curiosity eliminates narrow mindedness and opens our thoughts and beliefs to acceptance based on what we know and not what we perceive. 8 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
