Meditation. Like a grain of sand at the beach of life, it may serve the ocean.

My health. I try to stay on top of doctor and dental appointments etc and try to fit in exercise each week. My mental health is equally important too.
I found out today that my company will be offering 100% coverage for Therapy beginning in 2024. It is nice to know my Company has thought of this. Times are tough and we all need outlets even if it is going to Therapy.

My health. I need and want to be more active, but rainy and cold days really diminish my drive. I was active all summer, and then I just shut down every year at this time. I guess “Do it anyway” could be my motto.

How about doing something at home like yoga or Tai Chi so you’re not affected by the weather? Plenty of free classes on YouTube. Or find an exercise buddy? It’s so much easier to show up when someone else is depending on you 😀

I value my health and I would definitely benefit by making exercise more of a priority. It’s so easy to put your own well-being on the back burner when you’re a caregiver; I need to remind myself that I am worth it and make the time to take care of myself.

This one is easy. I value my husband and our marriage of 16 years and it would benefit from my attention to make sure we stay close and connected while we’re living in different locations for a bit. This isn’t a separation, it’s a home remodeling project and he only lives a few blocks away in our house while I’m in an AirBnB so I can work and look after the cat, but the effect is similar in that we’re now each living solo. We said this would be like dating but it isn’t quite. We text throughout the day and he comes over for dinner and the evening but I need to pay more attention. We no longer have our multiple daily walks holding hands and I miss those.

Wishing you all good things, Barb! This too shall pass and perhaps you and your husband will find some new adventures to share during this time….things to be excited about. Your home re-model will be beautiful…and soon you will all be home together. Blessings, my friend.

I value life and enjoying it, and I’ve really been trying to make an effort to do more things that tend to that! When we opened our restaurant, I got so completely wrapped up in in that I quit doing some of the things that I enjoyed. There just wasn’t any time, but I have reminded myself that sometimes we have to make time.

I value deep listening. To really feel someone’s attention when I share a story or point of view – it gives me the feeling of being truly seen – for just that moment. I try to model this in my life and it often leads to connection which brings me joy.

Presence because Present is really all we have and I struggle to maintain it so I rob myself of both its wisdom and the gift of each moment.
I share a quote that I read on Facebook a few minutes after I posted my answer and read read others answers. The value of connection and relationship reminds of a favorite saying of a priest friend: “There’s nothing more real than a relationship.” Here’s the post I read:
“A good friend of mine unexpectedly lost his wife. A couple months later we were golfing together, chatting about nothing. He asked what my dinner plans were and I told him wifey wanted my homemade chili and cornbread, but I didn’t feel like stopping at the store. We golfed a few more minutes when he quietly said, “Make the chili.”
It took me a few minutes to realize we were no longer talking about dinner. It was about going out of your way to do something for someone you love because at any moment, they could unexpectedly be taken from you. So today I’m sharing with you that wisdom handed to me by my dear friend, that I’ve thought of many times since that day. Next time someone you love wants you to go for a walk or watch a football game or play a board game or just put your phone down and give them your undivided attention, just do it. “Make the chili”

I value knowledge. And at times I can be pretty darn certain! Opening myself to knowledge from any source with a sense of discernment rather than judgment would be beneficial to my tending this value.

I value the present moment, the only moment there ever is. I will slow down and focus on “here and now”, as often as I remember. Peace, love and blessings to all 🕊💖🙏🧘‍♀️🌈

I highly appreciate the value of sharing. Growing up in a poor family, I will never forget moments of happiness when I received Christmas gifts from children in Australia sent me and other friends by an organization. The value of sharing from the Australia children brought warm and beautiful Christmas in my life. From them, I learn to share and receive back the value of peacefulness. I don’t remember who said this quote but “four people share a piece of pizza bring joyful than one person eats the whole pizza.” Sometimes, when I go to the thrift stores, stop by toy shelves, a feeling of thankful flows in my heart. It reminds me of my childhood wonderful memories.
