    I know that God has a plan for me and uses me to help others who struggle. I am used as a positive light to others so that they can feel like someone is there for them and can help them feel better about their life. I believe that that is my purpose in life.

    I know that I am. I am here as a contingent being. I owe my being, ultimately, to Being itself, or God. And if I stop to contemplate, I can feel God hold me in being. I know that God, whose essence is existence itself, has no need of me or you. The state of my contingent being, therefore, is a mysterious gift for my benefit and the benefit of others.

    The older I get, the less I know for sure. But also the older I get, the less that the “I don’t knows” disturb me.

    Not knowing, or not being certain, can be a good thing, a sign of an open mind, of listening, learning, observing with an open mind. However, we still need anchors for our lives so that we don’t feel tempest-tossed, such as love, a code of ethics, a purpose, ideas that help us to feel secure, and faith.

    I know that I am alive, I am breathing, the sun rises and sets everyday. Most things are uncertain, particularly those things where we have no control of. All we can do is go with what happens both good and bad and ride the ebb of life keeping a spiritual thought that things will work out as they are meant to be
