Dawn Elaine11 months agoDawn ElaineAsking for the grace to actually look into the eyes of those I meet and see them; to listen to their words and hear them without the cacaphony of my own thoughts and the barriers of my own assumptions. These things are happening a lot more slowly than I’d like, but occasionally, I see just a hint that they are more and more in my behavior with others. 1 Reply Malag11 months agoMalagThe “unknown” for me in that question is the what-happens-in-the-future. The biggest contribution I have made is growing children: adults now, but I hope I have instilled values such as integrity and compassion which will flow out in ways I cannot forsee both now and through the generations.Oscar Wilde, in the quote of today, probably had no idea his clever quips would still be commonly quoted more than 100 years later. The future is an amazing unknown. 4 Reply reality11 months agorealityThanx for all you do. Funny, I had the exact opposite insight into Wilde’s quote. Have a good day 🙂 reality 1 Reply Palm11 months agoPalmI appreciate your answer ? 2 Reply Tahsin Tabassum11 months agoTahsin Tabassumseriously I have no idea 3 Reply reality11 months agorealityNone, for I know about all the ontributions I make; most are inter-dimensional. When I was working broadcasting classical music several hours a day, I got constant feedback on the impact my work was having on the healthy, the sick, the dying, the young, the old, the lonely, the imprisoned. I think I believe that a smile can even keep someone alive (my daughter tells me about a young homeless mother, who was despondent one day, until I (not knowing anything about this) smiled and engaged her in conversation about herself and her teenage son. I think I believe that a smile can even keep someone alive (my daughter tells me about a young homeless mother, who was despondent one day, until I (not knowing anything about this) smiled and engaged her in conversation about herself and her teenage son. She later told my daughter that it kept her going. So I have no clue. Perhaps it’s just as well. It might be like a wave in the ocean moving onward, rise or cease, arriving as it is meant to be. 8 Reply Carla11 months agoCarlaOse, I’ve wanted to share For awhile that when I see your dawning sunrise I smile. Your photo/icon always reminds me this beautiful planet is round. Your sunrise is my sunset. I here in the US & you & many others living in other countries & continents. Blessings dear friend! ? 2 Reply Ose11 months agoOseWhen I took the photo, it was a sunset, so I am really happy that my sunset is your sunrise also! Yes, our planet is round, dear Carla. What a gift! Have a lovely day, dear friend. 3 Reply Elaine11 months agoElaineI choose to believe that every good vibe and action I put out is making a contribution. 6 Reply 11 months agoI believe I am contributing through my work by showing compassion, care, and gentleness to the clients I see. I truly try to help them achieve their goals and live an independent life. 4 Reply Mica11 months agoMicaHeaven only knows! 5 Reply Dusty Su11 months agoDusty SuI’m struggling with the question of how good is the good that I think I do, let alone what I don’t know I do. I don’t think we’ll ever really know the full impact of either the positive or negative contributions we make. I will be content with the knowledge of having eased another’s life and having done the best with what I was given. 6 Reply Chester11 months agoChesterAny good that I do, I do not truly know that it is good. What seems good, may not be; what seems not so good, may be truly good. I do my best, all the while accepting my ignorance. 8 Reply Ed Schulte11 months agoEd SchulteEmanations from the Heart centre are not affected by “conditions” such as those the intellect’s ‘needing knowing’ burdened ( knowing?/not knowing?/ “what difference does that make?” asks the heart) . Heart centre emanations they are always, “just right” and “fit for angelic purposes” Therein is the rich meaning of Joshua Emmanuel’s “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God”. 7 Reply Marnie11 months agoMarnieAs an executive coach, I help others realize their full potential… I have no idea of the impact of my work in the days, months and years after the engagement is complete. I hold a grateful and hopeful space for what may sprout forth for others. 4 Reply Carla11 months agoCarlaI’m grateful for the unknowns of whatever it is I’m contributing. 5 Reply pkr11 months agopkrI try to spread good cheer, laughter, love, light and thank you’s wherever I go, I hope it adds something to someone’s day. That is how important you are!”― Eckhart Tolle This quote works well for to-days question if you are one of those who is a Human Being “without ever knowing” how important they truly are. “Gods within the multiplicity of the one God”. Just being without further intent than just be….. my today’s exercise for non attachement…. 5 Reply Malag11 months agoMalagYes that could be its purpose. It also occurred to me. Glad to see I’m not alone! 0 Reply Mica11 months agoMicaA koan – perfect, Sieger! Many thanks 0 Reply Present Moment11 months agoPresent MomentThere is a purpose to denial… “without even knowing it”.
