The offline ones are a challenge in these times due to social distancing. 2 Reply Ananya Keyanna1 year agoAnanya KeyannaI volunteer for cancer-stricken kids. It is pretty hard watching kids below 10 years of age undergoing chemotherapy. But they always have a smile on their faces and have an indomitable spirit. Seeing them filled with so much of energy boosts up mine immediately. When they say thanks, they actually mean it and that gives me immense joy. Makes me feel sometimes that we have passed off that age but maybe can learn how to be a human at that age. Instead of looking at the negative side, I am grateful...I volunteer for cancer-stricken kids. It is pretty hard watching kids below 10 years of age undergoing chemotherapy. Instead of looking at the negative side, I am grateful that they have the opportunity to undergo chemotherapy under great medical practitioners. Thank you for taking out some time to read this. I wish you nothing but happiness. I’m sorry, but community for me is personal, immediate, and fairly intimate. Pass the blunt, for everything else is fecesbook 2 Reply Michele1 year agoMicheleBright Blessings! 2 Reply Melissa1 year agoMelissaThis community of Gratefulness, org my two spiritual groups that keep me uplifted and focused on kindness and hope. Going out in nature and riding my bike overlooking the ocean and channel islands. My brothers and husband who are so much fun and full of love. 3 Reply Hot Sauce1 year agoHot SauceMy church families at Eliot Unitarian Chapel in St. Louis and First Congregational United Church of Christ in Greeley bring me lots of energy and joy. I can help them thrive by offering my voice and insights in Adult Education classes when we are able to attend in person again. 3 Reply Don Jones1 year agoDon JonesCommunities of practice that I participate in: a couple of spiritual groups, antique furniture restorers and woodworkers. I show up and participate generously and provide advice, and support as able. 3 Reply Zenith1 year agoZenithThis community gives me energy. I derive joy from jogging. I have no idea other than financial support, how to help this place thrive. Perhaps the day will come when I can give $5.00 per month. I would like to. If anyone has other ideas feel free to leave a comment. 4 Reply Javier Visionquest1 year agoJavier VisionquestI always give a shoutout to gratefulness.org on the inferior and mentally corrosive, but popular, social medium 2 Reply coastmoor1 year agocoastmoorDepending I write to you while listening to Temple of the Heart by Anima. To help each of these thrive, I participate, speak up, offer kind words and prayers, share of myself, and let my light shine as brightly as possible. If the surf events/camps come back next year, I'd like to offer my time again. I did my part for years directing one large surf contest and then helping at a surf camp for autistic kids, but I stepped away a few years ago to work on myself. This Gratefulness.org is one of them. I belong to a local church and several groups formed for particular volunteering purposes. I give my time as well as financial support. I’m grateful that I have the communities I belong to. 5 Reply Patricia1 year agoPatriciaMy daughters and their spouses/families, my church community and the outdoor ministries it supports, my tennis friends, the bike trail organization – and friends, friends, friends who are intertwined in the groups above and others. My husband and I are keeping up the financial support we can to help see us all through to the other side of the pandemic. 4 Reply Trish1 year agoTrishMy faith community brings so much love & energy into my life. There are people in close proximity to me and some that I have never met in person~ like all of you. This spiritual energy is a life force for me. In order to keep the community thriving I need to utilize the energy for goodness & to share with the community my energy & love. 4 Reply Michele1 year agoMicheleLGBT communities bring me energy and joy. Live music and the shared energy of everyone there… we were supposed to see two big concerts this year (on top of what we probably would have seen locally at smaller venues), and I hate they had to be cancelled, although it was obviously for the best. I look forward to live concerts! And parades as well. Your post made me realize that we probably won’t have any Christmas parades this year. 3 Reply devy1 year agodevyAs with others, Gratefulness.org has brought me energy joy, and hope. My village community fills me with wonder and amazement and I help it thrive by working hard to produce a balanced Parish News each month, filing the pages with hope and love. Most recently I have become part of a community with a therapy course I am taking, I can help my fellow classmates thrive by being honest and open and supportive and giving my time. I have never been part of so many different communities and I feel immensely thankful to each one, they all make my live fuller. I am committed to helping both of these communities to thrive and grow. 8 Reply Ose1 year agoOseThis one here of course, and contributing here and sharing with you, belonging to this community. My family, original and extended as well, where I try to be present and of support as well through deeds like cooking together, sharing joyful evenings or cultural events as well as through meditation and prayer. 7 Reply Dusty Su1 year agoDusty SuI receive most of my energy and joy when alone or through intimate private conversations. However, I impart inspiration, education, and validation to others within my laughter community, with friends on nature walks, via training programs around inclusivity, end-of-life care, and rhythmic educational projects for adults and children who are differently-abled. 6 Reply Howie Geib1 year agoHowie GeibI am a member of a few virtual communities (this being one of them!) that bring energy and joy. The ways to help them thrive is to be active. To contribute and be a part of it through participation. My virtual rowing team is a part of my day as I am rowing and contributing to the team that way (we have virtual competitions). Here I share regularly and in others as well. It is a way for me to connect with life. 9 Reply My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
