I believe my purpose is to use what is given to me in ways that help me be a better human being. That’s the best I can do for I find this question obtuse. 🙄 7 Reply Antoinette5 months agoAntoinetteLee Ann ! I agree! Thanks for saying ! 😃 3 Reply Kevin5 months agoKevinAs a person who has been “called” to ministry at several key times during my life, I approach the word “calling” with particular attention. If, on the other hand, I am sensing a spiritual calling is rising within me, that’s another matter altogether and is not easily ignored (believe me, I have tried!). Fortunately, in my tradition as a Quaker, or Friend, as we are known, we have a time-tested process for holding spiritual callings, or “leadings,” which I feel can be of use to anyone exploring serious callings. Steps that can help are: > Take it to prayer. > Give it time. > Is the calling a want, or desire mainly? If so, have at it! > If Spirit/God is calling, pray longer. > Pray for clarity. Get support. Be accountable. > Spiritual callings are given, not possessed, and are not “mine” to own. > Spiritual callings are a blessing, and a burden. > Keep praying. My family purpose I try to always let my loved ones know how much I love and care about them. I start with gratefulness each and every morning. 4 Reply EJP5 months agoEJPLet go of the past, listen to my heart and move forward…one step at a time. 6 Reply Christine5 months agoChristineWhat a question. I had to read it three times, and then I still find it difficult. I just think out loud and write what I think. Is there a purpose calling me? I just want to live lovingly and meaningfully. What do I have to use? A heart. How can I get started? I’ll continue with what I was already trying to do.❤ 12 Reply Laura5 months agoLauraYes, yes and yes!
