Appreciate the day for what is has brought/not brought etc. The memories, the emotions etc and appreciate the ones I spent the day with and where. I am appreciating being present for myself and with my loved ones 0 Reply TofuLove11 months agoTofuLoveHonestly a lot. I think though to be specific, the capacity to reflect on your patterns, what is helpful and what maybe needs some adjusting. That we can have that kind of control over our evolution as people through mindfulness and awareness. 1 Reply Malag11 months agoMalagThe moment when I am aware I am thinking. The moment I notice thinking stop or start. All are moments of grace. 3 Reply Ose11 months agoOseLife itself, and the gift of being here together with so many people of kindred hearts, of friends and loved ones. Grateful for you all, and for the possibility to be with you and the chance to do what we can to help making this world a place for all to live well, for caring for each other, to let creativity unfold. 6 Reply Heather11 months agoHeatherI can appreciate the feeling that I’ve just completed a year and a half long manuscript. Rest will be very blissful indeed this coming weekend. 10 Reply Anonymous11 months agoAnonymousThe gift of water. We anticipate rain today which is greatly needed in the western United States with our fires. Today is also the last day before irrigation is shut off earlier than in recent memory which is a challenge for our farmers. We are trying to use this precious resource carefully. Water–not too much, and not too little. Drink a glass slowly today and be grateful. 10 Reply Holly in Ohio11 months agoHolly in OhioI will pray for regular rain for the western states, Vicki. My heart is with all of you. 💚 6 Reply Debra11 months agoDebraAbsolutely! 7 Reply Holly in Ohio11 months agoHolly in OhioI like Kevin's answer of appreciating everything! This morning is my husband’s day off, so I think he is a special someone to appreciate today. And I must mention my community, a little town of about 8000 people, who have a real sense of belonging and service to the community, the international community, and the planet. Yesterday I had a conversation with a college student (whom I’m letting add to my compost pile regularly), and we got on the topic of how our community has changed its recycling program to no longer include certain things. I mentioned to her an idea I had of asking local businesses to sponsor TerraCycle boxes, perhaps one or two types per store for those common but harder to recycle objects (like perhaps a stationery store could sponsor a pen recycling box). She (the college student) liked the idea and is going to speak to the Environmental Studies department at the college to perhaps have the students implement the idea as a service project. And this is the kind of thing that my community does, that I appreciate so much. Similarly this morning I was on a Facebook group page that someone I know started for only our community, that is basically a free-cycle of things people are giving away. It avoids good things going to rubbish, but it also helps out neighbors, and I’m amazed at what people generously give away because they are moving, upgrading, or just clearing out. Unlike FreeCycle, people are giving away fairly new working television sets, almost new air conditioners, microwaves, student fridges, unopened food packages, people offer pick-your-own apples or pears from their back yard trees…. it’s crazy and wonderful. I guess since they know it will go to a neighbor, they are even more generous than what comes up on FreeCycle. Anyway, I VERY MUCH appreciate my wacky, generous, community.
