As a child, Nancy Drew, my first series. As an adult, and this is the absolute tip of the iceberg, I have read (more than once for all of these and others): To Bless the Space Between Us by John O'Donohue, Let your Life Speak by Parker Palmer, The Wisdom of Wilderness by Gerald May, Anne of Green Gables, Winter Solstice (I read this every year), An Interrupted Life by Etty Hillesum, The Butterfly's Da...This is a big question, leading to many memories of all the years I have had my nose in a book. I can imagine us as young girls, discussing the excitement of our newest Nancy Drew reads! 🤓🥰 1 Reply Barb C4 months agoBarb CPilgrim, have you read Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver? She’s one of my favorite authors and that novel centers on the monarch migration. 1 Reply Pilgrim4 months agoPilgrimYes, Barb, thanks for that reminder. I am going to look it up again, see if it is on my shelf, first. When I moved I had to donate SO many books for the downsize. Much appreciated! 1 Reply EJP4 months agoEJPI am truly grateful for the Bible which provides guidance, answers, hope and love. 2 Reply Kevin4 months agoKevinI am truly grateful for all of them, the ones I liked, and the shelf full of those I cherished. As for the ones I didn’t like, I am grateful that I am not required to read them again. 3 Reply Mary4 months agoMary😆 Yes, I remember a few books I read in high school and quickly determined that once was enough. 2 Reply Michele4 months agoMicheleAll the Harry Potter books. Twilight ones. I’ll always remember my first series I read as a young girl- Flowers in the Attic. Now I’m reading Kristi Nelson’s Wake Up Grateful. 2 Reply sunnypatti4 months agosunnypattiOh, I forgot about Flowers in the Attic! 3 Reply Christine4 months agoChristineI find it quite difficult to choose. I have closed so many books with a sigh of “how wonderful this book was”. When I was a child I loved to read “Alone in the World” by Hector Malot. The biography of Albert Schweitzer taught me to look with respect for all living things. That was an important book for me. Sufi books by Inayat Khan….. beautiful! I like to read novels and thrillers. 4 Reply « Previous 1 2 My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
