La machine’s devolving every coming generation exponentially more, they actually believe we can live on Mars; humanity’s extinction is nigh. And somehow I appreciate this beauty more because the heart is more open to it and there is a sense of longing to be here rather than chasing the next moment. I want to make the most out of life and what time I have left with my loved ones. I don’t know when my expiration or my parents, or siblings expiration will be but I know the importance of living in the present moment. Every second, minute does matter. I feel a bit of comfort knowing spiritually (at least my belief) that I may have the opportunity to reconnect with my loved ones after death. I think reading these beautiful, sacred texts will help me awaken to the power of Mind, as well as the divinity in all things in the universe. 2 Reply TofuLove7 months agoTofuLoveI don’t know. I don’t really ask questions like this too much, maybe I should more? My focus tends to be on who needs help and how to help in practical ways. I suppose if there is a beauty in the present moment it’s for me God and leaning into the Lord during challenging times, that somehow He will figure it out. Bible verses strike me as beautiful. 2 Reply Don Jones7 months agoDon JonesThe realisation that I am part of everything – gazing on the perfection and incredible beauty and wonder of the creation. Nothing needs to be said or done in this moment. 3 Reply Debra7 months agoDebraI have had a setback. I am looking inward for calm and peace in the present moment but I am wavering right now and I am trying not to get ‘down on myself’. My eyes are leaking tears. 4 Reply Michele7 months agoMicheleHang in there Debra. I leak tears nightly. Just keep saying it’ll be ok. one breath at a time. hugs to you. 1 Reply Debra7 months agoDebraMichele; Thank you for your encouragement. I very much appreciate your message to me. 1 Reply TofuLove7 months agoTofuLoveYou’ll figure it out, Lady. I wish I knew what to say, I’m bad at this stuff … not sure what your perspective is here. There there, it’s OK. Feel better, Sis. 2 Reply Vincent-Edward Ciliberti7 months agoVincent-Edward CilibertiThe present beauty is that I am a free person, unlike some others who are bring questioned, cannot speak up for fear of their lives, tortured or otherwise for their beliefs 4 Reply Katrina7 months agoKatrinaThe beauty that is here in the present moment is that it is here in the present moment. Today, right now that includes the very slightest breeze on my back porch where the temp and humidity are already high (I live in Texas). The birds are singing – they don’t seem to mind the heat or humidity. Texas Star hibiscus are blooming, bees are buzzing around other flowering plants, tomatoes and cucumbers are filling my garden, and amid this pandemic, as I lift in love those who have lost their lives or loved ones, those who are battling the virus as patients, care-givers or researchers, mask-wearers and physical-distances, decision-makers and planners, I pray they, too can find beauty in the present moment to center their souls, calm their spirits, and encourage their hearts. Learning to appreciate each moment looking for how we can brighten someone else’s day, is a gift. And the act of doing that makes us better human beings. I am sharing my “cup of joe” with orange poppies, purple petunias, yellow & purple pansies, red gerber daisies, tomatoes popping, lots of bees and birds singing. It is a little bit of heaven. It is grounding me, calming me and taking my mind off other stuff. I am blessed. Sending love to All here. ❤️ 6 Reply PhilG7 months agoPhilGIn this moment, I hear the calling of dove and the happy bubbling of our fish pond. I am so grateful to be alive. I send blessings and love and peace to all beings. ?? 4 Reply Trish7 months agoTrishThere is great beauty in my strong heartbeat, the sweat from a hard workout, the slight ache in my legs from challenging my body. It’s beautiful to have the luxury of having a piping hot chai latte every morning while I spend time enriching my spiritual life. All of these “small beauties” will assist me in digging into my day with vigor, love and an open heart. 6 Reply Mica7 months agoMicaWow, Trish – thanks! 2 Reply Maria7 months agoMariaThe beauty of this present moment is my freedom to choose how I spend it…. not everyone has this choice or realise they have this freedom. Again you have reminded me how lucky I am. 5 Reply Mica7 months agoMicaThank you, Maria! 1 Reply Patricia7 months agoPatriciaThe birds singing outside the open windows, the cool morning breeze wafting in, my sweet old dog sleeping in the chair across from me, the smell of coffee, the rhythm of my own breath… so much beauty, so much… 4 Reply Antoinette7 months agoAntoinetteMy dog and his little friend playing blissfully is beautiful and relaxing. The beauty of nature helps by it’s calming and peaceful nature. Wishing everyone a happy holiday weekend:) 4 Reply Antoinette7 months agoAntoinetteHaha Michele, I forgot about the holiday weekend. It’s almost hard to grasp the meaning of the 4th of July now. It’s so different in the USA since I was a social studies teacher there over 20 years ago! I bet the classroom is an entirely different landscape! I hope the United States stays untied and peaceful. I hope the 4th of July brings understanding and harmony. 2 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
