Some more than others, mountains, heaven above, canyons below, all waterways and oceans, etc.. Reminds me of my first personal adv., if you’ll allow: a mountain underground, that a molehill might be, is looking for a little asymmetry 🙂 reality 2 Reply JennaMae10 months agoJennaMaeYesterday was my first time seeing the Pacific North West Coast, along Highway 101. I was moved to tears immediately as soon as I came to the apex of a road that said “Ocean View”, in front of me, there lay an expansive landscape with hues of bright blues, navy, and gray. The fog lifted to expose the significant sea stacks, such a presence in a landscape. I parked my car and walked down to the sand. I could not contain myself, I had to dance in the presence of beauty. I was spinning, and laughing, and thanking God for this present moment. I have had a lot on my mind with relationships and loss and this natural beauty lifted the thoughts momentarily allowing me to dance and to be light hearted, shifting my perspective to gratitude rather than focusing on hardship. That is what natural beauty does to me: it allows me to shift my perspective, allows me to see my smallness against sea sacks and the vastness of the ocean, it allows me to see new beginnings as one daffodil shined bright as it looked toward the ocean, it gives me humility with looking at the strength of the ocean, and the ability to look inwards knowing that all the beauty on the outside of me, lies within. The countless shades of colour on a hill during a hike, the gorse, heather, grasses and ferns. 4 Reply Ose10 months agoOseThe chirping of the birds in the morning, giving joy to each one passing by, moving mind and heart, especially like now as springtime is coming. A walk in the woods, watching and greeting the abundance of beauty of flowering Snowdrops, Crocus or Hellebore right now outside. 4 Reply Mica10 months agoMicaThe beating wings of the carpenter bee as it hovers by the yellow and green bloom spike of the Aeonium on the balcony 4 Reply GCharlotte10 months agoGCharlotteThe New Jersey trees during the spring time! 5 Reply sunnypatti10 months agosunnypattiWater of all kinds, but especially the ocean and connecting salty rivers and creeks. How the tide ebbs and flows. How the waves pull back and forth. How the wind effects the waves. Swimming, floating, and surfing in the waters, totally immersing myself into their energy. The waters by me are cold right now, but as I type all of this, I absolutely cannot wait to get back out there! 4 Reply Elizabeth M Jones10 months agoElizabeth M JonesThe mountains around Queenstown. 5 Reply MQ10 months agoMQthe sounds of birds chirping to means pure life. the bright sun beaming on my face feels good. breathing in fresh clean air inspires me and reminds me of how grateful i am to be alive, and how the simple things in life can bring joy. 5 Reply Chester10 months agoChesterThe billions of stars in one galaxy, the billions of galaxies in the universe, the trillions of cells in one person, the microscopic design of the cell, and the wonderful perfection of it all – humbling and inspiring. 7 Reply BabaYaga10 months agoBabaYagaSilence. We particularly love geology as a family and keep passing on an appreciation for rocks to new generations. I feel that the land is extraordinarily living, growing and changing in its own time. My geology instructor once taught us that nothing is ever truly destroyed. I gratefully carry that knowledge in my heart. 5 Reply TeriB10 months agoTeriBMountains, tall and snow covered, Oceans with crashing waves, Streams that twist and turn thorough forests. I find both peace and inspiration when I hike. There is absolutely nothing like the beauty of untouched nature. 4 Reply Charly10 months agoCharlyNature itself, which we are a part of. From the tiniest microorganism to the vastness of the cosmos, when I can recognize oneness of it all and sense it holds me and us, and we hold it, even under concrete or indoors, that remembrance gives me great inspiration. 7 Reply Debra10 months agoDebraWater. Drinking clean water that runs though my tap. So immensely grateful. Swimming in water and rushing from underneath its surface to the light. So immensely grateful. Cleansing in the warm water streaming from my shower-head. So immensely grateful. My spirit having partaken, ‘smiles’. 8 Reply pkr10 months agopkrBig trees, especially Redwoods. Flowers, flowers galore, especially now. Magnolias, Cherry blossoms, Plum blossoms, Daffodils, California Poppies, Irises, camellias. Northern California is exploding in beautiful breathtaking flowers right now. My neighborhood is awash in Spring Bouquets everywhere! I am so blessed.❤️ 7 Reply Katrina10 months agoKatrinaEverything, really. But having been raised in the Panhandle of Texas where there were no rivers, lakes, ponds, and a trip to the ocean took days, I now know that water is truly a means of grace for me – in all its many forms. I can sit beside a lake, running river, beside the ocean for hours and know that God is God, meditate on life and the universe and whatever comes up and know that all will be well. 5 Reply Ed10 months agoEdEverything!
