Such a difference. It is a pleasure to breathe and inhale this clear freshness and to know I share it with everyone now who is even happy about it. I am grateful for the moments of rest and stillness due to the slowing down these days, and grateful for being still able and allowed to serve my fellow people. True – we don’t have a lot of material wealth, but we have a wealth of loving, caring people who, in spite of the near-total shutdown of our little town, are making sure that no-one, especially the children, go hungry. Schools, restaurants, and charities are providing free meals, lodging, health care, and other necessities that will enable all to persevere through this national ordeal. While we don’t yet know what awaits us at the far end of this dark tunnel, we at least know that we will all make it out the other end to a better time and place. This allows me so much comfort in these turbulent times 2 Reply AngieRDoyal10 months agoAngieRDoyalI’m grateful for having all my kids at home (21,19, 16), even though it’s due to the COVID-19 crisis. I’m grateful to have a job that pays me to work from home. I’m grateful to have benefits that continue during a crisis. I’m grateful my husband has a job that does the same (since this time last year he was unemployed) and we’re able to pay our bills, put food on the table, and a roof over our heads. I know many people don’t have these luxuries right now. 8 Reply Gerry10 months agoGerryI am grateful for it all. 2 Reply Katrina10 months agoKatrinaI am grateful for all the basic utilities available to me, for a comfortable income during retirement (thus far) to support me and my family, and to live where I do - in a neighborhood where houses are far apart and our yard/garden is our park for walking, exercising, gardening, birding, etc. I am grateful for all those who are faithfully running towards the fire to serve he ill in whatever capacity it might be, for those who are serving our needs while they are out among the pubic, and for thos...I am grateful for all the basic utilities available to me, for a comfortable income during retirement (thus far) to support me and my family, and to live where I do – in a neighborhood where houses are far apart and our yard/garden is our park for walking, exercising, gardening, birding, etc. I am grateful for all those who are faithfully running towards the fire to serve he ill in whatever capacity it might be, for those who are serving our needs while they are out among the pubic, and for those who are using this time to volunteer on behalf of those who are in need in any way.
