Social connections happen less frequently and with fewer people and I cherish each one even more. And musicians and other artists and arts institutions are dreaming up new ways to present and nourishing us in exciting new ways. 3 Reply Ed Schulte4 months agoEd SchulteI am grateful for its powerful reminder….Covid-19 reminds mankind that its heath, and the health of this planet is the responsibility of every individual, and not just to ones self, to each and every other being. I am grateful that Covid-19 will serve as a reminder to future generations that FREEDOM comes with the responsibility to Love and respect ALL…it was never, or will ever be, a game of “Us vs Them”. 5 Reply Shellan4 months agoShellanI am grateful I joined our local hiking club and have gone on 1 trip to the mountains as well as 50+ local hikes with them. I absolutely fell in love with hiking. 6 Reply Lexi4 months agoLexiI am grateful for how close I am to the people who I spent the entire pandemic with. I don’t think I would have been close to them otherwise, and they have become a significant part of my life. 6 Reply Pollyanna Gladwell4 months agoPollyanna GladwellWhat a wonderful gift for you all, Lexi. Blessings. 1 Reply dimple dangi4 months agodimple dangiI am grateful that I got to spend so much time with my family which would have been impossible otherwise 5 Reply Pollyanna Gladwell4 months agoPollyanna GladwellThe laughter generated by the very funny memes about it that have arrived on my phone reminds me not to take life too seriously. Planning is pointless. Acceptance is imperative. Gratefulness is burgeoning. Love is abounding. 9 Reply Ose4 months agoOseFor friends and family. To wake up, still be able to prepare my cup of coffee in the morning, to open the computer and to share with you all here. For the food which is still available in abundance and in good quality. I Cherish the clean water. It is such a gift to just open the water tap and drinkable water appears! Since I had the opportunity to spend some time in the magnificence of the desert, the preciousness and gratitude for water, the essential need of every living being never left me. ...For friends and family. To cook for my friends is my pleasure especially in these days of scarcity of social contact and to share lunch or dinner with gratitude and to spend some joyful time together. Maybe, God-willing, we will see some structural changes to our healthcare system, since this has exposed its evils. And hopefully, the seriousness of the crisis in the United States will teach us to never elect a dictator again. Maybe, we are learning some lessons about what we need to change going forward. Maybe this pandemic is a confrontation of all the oppressive systems in our country. I’m grateful they know and feel they come to help build a new, different world. 8 Reply HSR4 months agoHSRBeing alive, feeling the breeze on my face as I sit on my balcony watching the hummingbirds at the feeder and enjoying this lovely moment outside to just sit and be still. 6 Reply Don Jones4 months agoDon JonesWhat a wonderful panorama opens up when you take nothing for granted. 6 Reply Linda4 months agoLindaI am grateful for the open time. Setting my own schedule, including work, is refreshing. No commute time, no hours to keep once I have completed my work. I have time now to walk and enjoy nature in the afternoons, and see friends (socially distanced, of course). I have time to think and ponder and wonder. 7 Reply Mica4 months agoMicaAll the new opportunities to learn new ways of doing things and connecting with people. My negative covid results yesterday [grateful but not surprised!] 8 Reply Zenith4 months agoZenithSo very much. I started my gratitude journey. Read massive numbers of books to review on my blog. Started my blog. Started my language study via Duolingo. Got involved with Letters Against Isolation. Joined a gym through Silver Sneakers. My son reconciled with me. Enjoyed profound amounts of sunshine. What more could a person want? 10 Reply Melissa4 months agoMelissaI am so grateful for so many things. Nature that brings me peace. The roof over my head that I feel safe in, being able to work from home. The doctors and nurses who are standing by in my hometown clinics and hospitals. All my neighbors wearing masks where ever I go for essential goods. For the good food to eat that still comes to the stores. The love of family and friends during this difficult scary time of the pandemic. 7 Reply Javier Visionquest4 months agoJavier VisionquestThis pandemic is the beginning of a broad spectrum awakening. I’m a little embarrassed that it’s come to this but grateful for the opportunity for so many to experience the world from the perspective of those among us who live life at the margins every day on the regular. “What we tolerate for the least of us will become normal for the rest of us” 10 Reply Mica4 months agoMicaYes, Javier! broad spectrum awakening – may it bring some good into the world – it’s actually amazing to be part of this experience. 4 Reply Javier Visionquest4 months agoJavier VisionquestIsn’t it though, Mica? I ride to work too and it’s nice. As soon as I am at work on goes that mask! Apparently they aren’t even safe nor prevent the contagion but I follow the rules at least when I am doing good… 8 Reply Journey4 months agoJourneyFor our health, the ability to work from home, the extra sleep from not having to commute. And mainly for the medical community who works tirelessly and all the people that work in core services like super markets and have to go into work everyday. 11 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
