The simplest thing is literally anything my dog does. I can’t help but be joyful in his presence. He is the best little dude in the world. I am 1000% convinced he was sent to me by my soulpet, Walter. I love my baby!

I read this question yesterday, wrote a long list of things in my journal, and didn’t come back to post here as the day filled up. As Charlie said, nothing is really simple, and I loved Joseph’s line “simply ordinary, simply extraordinary.”

A few of the things on my list:

    Rainbows
    A child’s giggle
    Hugs
Green tips of plants poking through the soil
A soft plushy blanket fresh out of the dryer and still warm
Holding hands with my husband as we walk

Mother Nature in all her glory. Big and/or small I am in awe of it all & filled with joy. However, she is not so simple, is she…? 🌸🌧️⭐️🙏🏻

Many things bring me joy. This sunrise,
this cup of coffee, my cat rubbing against
my leg. But simple? Is anything really simple?
Even the simplest things seem to be a
    world unto themselves.

Waking up in a cozy blanket, having morning conversations with my husband, enjoying a cup of hot coffee, and finally visiting this site. How peaceful and joyful.

So many things: new growth on plants, the feel of water, the texture of clothing, all the folks on this site, the weather, objects that work, solving a puzzl, etc

Watching the birds, and now we are getting into springtime, seeing the daffodils and tulips opening while sipping a hot cup of coffee.

Small pleasures in life are the greatest. A morning cup of coffee, cats on the balcony in the morning, picking up the kids after school, and a lazy Sunday morning are some of my favorites.

Many of my daily routines make me happy — morning tea, this site, a long walk in the afternoon, gorgeous music. Joy often comes unbidden. This time of year, for instance, the birdsong in the morning is joyful, as is the sight of buds on the trees ready to unfurl when the amount of light each day flips the switch.
