However, when I take my walk this morning, I will meet the doggies and their owners. While the human parents are nice enough, the dogs are the ones who will greet me with their soul-filled eyes, sniff and lick my hands. They are Oberon, June, Skye, Winkle, Hunk, Ella, Henry, and Bubba. Oh, there are more dogs but I may not meet up with them all today. The blessings of petting and hugging these wonderful canines are equal to a hug...My loved ones, close friends and family, are gone. No one is left. My beloved feline, Abbey, lies next to me as I write and she is my joy, my constant companion from whom I receive gifts many times a day. Just watching Abbey while she sleeps is a cherished gift. πΎπΎπ Read More9 Reply Holly in Ohio8 months agoHolly in OhioI learned all of my neighbor’s dogs’ names before I learned my neighbor’s names…. Luna, Libby, Jo, etc… were the ambassadors. Dogs are always first to greet with their wet noses! Sometimes I have to tell the dogs, “no French kissing on a first date, please” Lol. I’m glad you have your Abbey with you. 2 Reply Lee Anne8 months agoLee AnneThank you, Holly. I do have a hard time remembering the owners’ names but I know each dog’s. A new one was introduced to me today and he is a shorthaired Daschund puppy named Gus ( actually Augustus) but his human parents call him Gus. He is a lover! π₯° 4 Reply Mary Pat8 months agoMary PatOH! All good on a beautiful sunny day and a walk at the beach. 6 Reply Kevin8 months agoKevinTodayβs question assumes that I am at the end of my day looking back. But my day has barely begun. So, Iβll simple say that I receive unwavering love from the people that I love, and I take joy in returning that love in kind. 6 Reply sunnypatti8 months agosunnypattiI got some snuggles with our dog. That’s it so far for 5am! As Christine said, the day is young! May we all have a happy, peaceful day. 6 Reply Kevin8 months agoKevin“Dog time” is the best! As of this early hour our dog Gracie hasn’t come down the stairs yet in order to go out and pee. She’s blind, but navigates the stairs and other household “obstacles with ease, walks into my home office to say hello, goes out to piddle, walks back in, heads up the stairs and back to bed! 8 Reply sunnypatti8 months agosunnypattiI love how dogs are so resilient. And so humble about it as well! Dog time (and cat time) is truly a blessing. I went all of my adult life without a dog of my own until my husband & I got together, and it was definitely a piece of the puzzle that I was happy to find π 3 Reply Kevin8 months agoKevinFirst thing my wife and I did when we got married was to get a puppy. We’ve had dogs ever since. I don’t think that I ever want to live and not have a dog in my life. Cats too, we have and love, but nothing takes the place of a dog in my view. 2 Reply Lauryn8 months agoLauryn**and cat time too! 5 Reply sunnypatti8 months agosunnypattiOh yes! Cat time is important as well, although my little old man does not want snuggles in the morning… only food! My little old man does not want to snuggle in the morning. He only wants to EAT! 2 Reply Christine8 months agoChristineNothing received yet, but the day is still young. What I can do, is give you someβ¦β¦.. I wish you a nice day with love and light, fresh air, beauty to see and harmony to experience.
