I am focusing on rewiring my brain to be relaxed and at peace vs nervous and at war doing so will influence others in my life to harness peace and be humble. I have paused all my projects to focus on me because I comprehend the importance of wellness for self. From there I will be able to properly influence and support others on being peaceful and relaxed. I would also like to take the word PERFECT out of the dictionary and to have society highlight SELF PROGRESSION and compassion towards others; however if someone is not compassionate nor humble with themselves how will they be able to do the same for another individual. HENCE the importance of SELF CARE !! To give is a blessing not only to others but to our souls. To be able to let go what we have and to help others who are in need. You dont have to give much… A little helping hand goes a long way… 4 Reply Don Jones9 months agoDon JonesPreserve, conserve, restore and renovate furniture. Bringing new life to the work of master craftspeople from times past. Reducing waste. Encouraging people to think of these things as being in their care rather than a consumable, as they will with care, exist beyond our life for the enjoyment of others. 5 Reply devy9 months agodevyDirect love, kindness, Gratitude to all those I come across but to remember to do this first to me. Some times we treat ourselves in a way that we would never treat others. 5 Reply Holly in Ohio8 months agoHolly in OhioYes, yes! 1 Reply Carol9 months agoCarolI’m struggling with health issues that make it hard for me to be out in the world but this has lead me to meditate more and pray more for all the pain and suffering, the angst and distrust, occurring throughout my country and the world. Even Mother Earth is crying. For me, prayer is the releasing of loving and positive energy into the Universe. I pray for healing–evolutionary-energy to permeate all things. 8 Reply Ose9 months agoOseBe grateful for any contribution and always be open to let myself be inspired to reply to the moment. May it be to listening to a panhandler and contribute, or, like today, helping someone in how to stand on her both feet in a way that would serve her feet to carry her through all her life in a healthy way, which was something I had been taught many years ago and so could pass forward; or later this day, when some friends whom I encounter regularly will meet to discuss options of serving others ...Be grateful for any contribution and always be open to let myself be inspired to reply to the moment. Thanks for the inspiration, Ose. 3 Reply David Nelson9 months agoDavid NelsonI choose to Playfully Listen to the pain and suffering of those negatively impacted by the Covid Virus or the Shot to help give meaning and value to each person equally to validate their humanity. 3 Reply Mica9 months agoMicaThank you for the nudge. I want to post a letter to the local free daily paper about taking fewer showers. It seems that I’m told to take shorter showers repeatedly, but that’s only half the ‘story’ – the advice Should be to take shorter OR fewer showers. I also ordered a little shut-off valve that connects to the shower head, so I can turn the water off when I don’t need it during a shower, without losing the proper temperature. I learned about those in the drought of ’76 4 Reply Holly in Ohio8 months agoHolly in OhioThat’s nice, Mica. I was thinking of getting one for my kitchen sink (I wash dishes by hand). I used to have an apartment that had one and it was handy. I have switched out the shower head and the bathroom sink faucet to “low flow” faucets, but you may have already done that. 2 Reply Mica8 months agoMicaNo, Holly – I even got resistance to swapping my toilet for a ‘low flush toilet.’ “What’s a low flush toilet?” my granddaughters asked their dad. He hesitated and then replied, “It’s a normal toilet.” I think our sewer systems took a hit as we decreased our water flow in the ’76 drought, so now there’s no mention of ‘yellow is mellow’ regarding flushing. But at least I have my low flush toilet now. 1 Reply Larry9 months agoLarryBe kind! 6 Reply Mica9 months agoMicaYup – thanks, Larry – the Dalai Lama says that’s his religion, and one can always do it. 4 Reply Matthew Clark9 months agoMatthew ClarkIf you focus on what you need to accomplish, then other people don’t have to pick up your slack which helps them to accomplish their goals because they don’t have to focus making up for what you didn’t do. Also paying it forward is an act of kindness that is given without being asked. 8 Reply Cathie9 months agoCathieI try to find areas that both interest and “bother” me about society and then plug in to help. This help can be hands-on volunteer work or donating resources. So when involved in a cause I care about, I perceive it not only helps society but helps me have a purpose – extending me outside of my being. And going beyond myself, assists me in my feeling well. “Just to be is a blessing, to live is holy” – Abraham Joshua Heschel 7 Reply Patricia9 months agoPatriciaI’m currently part of a fundraising effort to reconstruct the only four tennis courts open to the public in our little community. I know that I’ve benefited from the courts (cracked though they may be!) because of the past generation who made this available to me and others. Now I want to pass this resource on for the health and enjoyment of people in the next couple of decades. I feel this is a very practical (and almost literally concrete!) way of contributing. 🙂 5 Reply Mary Pat9 months agoMary PatBravo! Good for you…a practical way that will benefit others as well as yourself. 4 Reply Mica9 months agoMicaThank you, Patricia, and congrats on you concrete contribution 🙂 4 Reply Amber9 months agoAmberI can contribute to societies by learning or researching about them and gaining an understanding on their cultural traits. I can also help support their cause. 7 Reply Seearelow9 months agoSeearelowSome things I can do is to express kindness and gentleness to everyone I meet, to say a small prayer to God for someone I don’t know who seems to be having a rough day, and to focus on things to be grateful for. 5 Reply Mary Pat9 months agoMary PatBe kind to all beings everywhere, And that includes to myself. It sounds simple, but really isn’t. And it encompasses many things. Just be kind. 8 Reply Mica9 months agoMicaThank you, Mary Pat, for reminding us about the importance of kindness to ourselves, too 🙂 4 Reply Samuel9 months agoSamuelBe vaccinated for covid.
