MY GIFTS: Attentiveness Nuturer Humble Humor Carefree I have noticed that others have this idea of me however I have not been the same to myself therefore I can allow them to full express themselves in the world BY PRACTICING THESE GIFTS WITH MYSELF FIRST. I am extremely grateful for/to others ITS MY TURN !!! 0 Reply TofuLove11 months agoTofuLoveA high capacity for not knowing and uncertainty even in scary situations and compartmentalizing my feelings so I can remain calm and rational. I think I already do mostly. I’ve broken up a lot of fights and men about to hit women … and I’m a petite woman myself. I just see what needs to happen and feel very calm while doing it. 0 Reply Anna11 months agoAnnaYesterday a colleague asked me why I didn't choose to be the leader of my team. He told me that at least I would bring more sense of relationship, he told me that I would "create something between people". Others are for me and that’s OK. 3 Reply Mark11 months agoMarkMy particular gift is my ability to feel for others and look after others. So I can express them more at work and in my local community by helping others in need. 5 Reply Ose11 months agoOseListening deeply. May be… Tonight someone said something very beautiful about a spiritual teacher, that his special ability and also one of his spiritual core teaching was to allow being touched by life itself, which he lived to the fullest himself. An example of sorts, where things lived well are pure gratitude towards creation and life itself. Nothing in between. So to let go of control and allow being vulnerable again would be a start, I guess. Read More4 Reply Don Jones11 months agoDon JonesGoing about my day quietly, purposefully, gracefully and with ease. My gifts are art, artisan work, sustainable gardening/farming, teaching, and writing. Physical and emotional challenges run a lot of interference, but are not really an excuse. I'm just 'out of whack,' and trying to get back into whack. I agree completely that expressing our gifts demonstrates gratitude! My gifts are art, artisan work, sustainable gardening/farming, teaching, and writing. Physical and emotional challenges run a lot of interference, but are not really an excuse. I’m just ‘out of whack,’ and trying to get back into whack. I agree completely that expressing our gifts demonstrates gratitude! It can also express generosity. I slept very poorly last night and feel like i need toothpicks to keep my eyelids up this morning, but can’t sleep either, so i will get to work first on some home repairs but then I will make an effort today to use my gifts and each day this week. Today I am thankful for my particular gifts. I am also very thankful for the particular gifts of others! Read More6 Reply Mica11 months agoMicaArt, artisan work? I try to radiate happiness into their lives even though it is lacking in mine. 7 Reply Mike S11 months agoMike SOne of Rilke’s most favored poems. I live my life in widening circles that drift out over the things. I may not achieve the very last, but it will be my aim. I circle around God, around the age-old tower; I’ve been circling for millennia and still I don’t know : am I a falcon, a storm, or a sovereign song? 10 Reply Mike11 months agoMikeThis has been my “life verse,” if you will, since I discovered this poem in the 90s. 2 Reply Nelson11 months agoNelsonI’m a good teacher. I know how to take really complex topics, like digital marketing, and simplify them to make them less overwhelming for business owners. Being an entrepreneur is overwhelming all in itself. So I’m glad I can help alleviate some anxiety. 8 Reply Mike S11 months agoMike SI am a fair writer and for years have read mystery and suspense novels. This year I’ve started to write my own. 8 Reply Patricia11 months agoPatriciaThis little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine! (Hide it under a bushel – NO! I’m gonna let it shine!) 9 Reply Mica11 months agoMica“Don’t you go and ‘whooff’ it out! I’m gonna let it shine!” – thanks, Patricia, for the happy memories 🙂 4 Reply devy11 months agodevyM’y gifts are compassion and being there for people going through difficulties. Probably the reason why my career was in social services working with mentally and physically challenged. Covid has stopped me from volunteering in different organizations but I try to forward gratefulness through social media such as Facebook by only posting positivity and gratitude as well as humour which I know is appreciated by many. This in turn makes me feel good. 6 Reply Mary Pat11 months agoMary PatOh my...this is tough. My sisters and I were raised to use whatever gifts we had, but be invisible while we do it….and our gifts were never, ever, talked about……my parents were raised like this I bet….some things handed down through the ages need to be let go……..I see this now, so it is another area where healing can occur. I will step out and say…listening. I am a really good listener and always turn the spotlight on the other person. And I have been told I have a really wry, quick wit. So I will acknowledge those two….this gives me pause to sit back and think about this…and heal. I am grateful. Thank you! But situations are always changing. So today I will respond by saying as I find new ways to engage in retirement, life with family, neighbors, old and new friends, and our current world and national crises I find that good reflective listening for others and making. myself available to serve where I can are my ways of using two of my gifts for practicing gratefulness right now. 5 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
