They cannot even plant some vegetables, as they simply cannot water them and so have only little to eat and nearly nothing to feed their kids. I imagined myself being thirsty and being unable to get hold of something so essentially needed like something to drink. Indescribable suffering. I will include the wish to provide the blessing of water for these people into my prayer. Just waking up to a new day and being part of a family, friend circle, workplace, community, city, country, planet is reason to be grateful. The message of today is a wake up call and reminder to truly appreciate every moment. 2 Reply Wiltrud1 year agoWiltrudI am grateful for my friends and my family, today esp. for my youngest aunt who has been like a loving sister to me since the day I was born. I am grateful for peace and free access to food, water, a safe place to live etc. etc. I met refugees from Syria, Irak, Afghanistan and also taught some of their children. I am grateful that they are safe and pray for a lasting peace in those countries. 2 Reply Katharine1 year agoKatharineI’m grateful for my health, home, family, friends and especially for my loving wife. 3 Reply Cheryl Read1 year agoCheryl ReadI am grateful for the Gift of Life itself, for my health, the love that my husband and I share, our Family, Friends, dog kids, our homes, our abundance … I could go on and on however I am truly grateful for everything including Merilou who directed me to gratefulness.org 2 Reply Mica1 year agoMicaI’m grateful for family, friends, life, home, pets and more 2 Reply Present Moment1 year agoPresent MomentToday, after.three days of grey, I’m most grateful for color! 3 Reply Ann1 year agoAnnHaving recently discovered this community, and having the opportunity to develop the perspective of gratefulness as my way of being and contributing. 5 Reply Chester1 year agoChesterGood people – people striving to do their best, daily, the fundamental part of all things good. 4 Reply Tom1 year agoTomI am grateful for getting up each day, recognizing that there will be at least one thing, no matter how small, I can do for another that is kind or compassionate.
